God told Hosea to marry a prostitute — knowing she would keep running back to her lovers.

It wasn’t a love story. It was a prophetic picture of God’s covenant love for unfaithful Israel.

But many men today have twisted this.

They see Hosea and think: “I can marry a woman who’s still living like that and turn her into a wife.”

No, brother.

What God commanded Hosea to do as a unique prophetic sign is not your marriage blueprint.

Chasing women who are still emotionally and physically tied to their past lovers, still entertaining other men, still carrying that lifestyle — and calling it “God’s will” or “I’m going to redeem her” — is usually just lust dressed in spiritual language.

Hosea redeemed Gomer *after* she had already left and hit rock bottom. And even that was by direct command from God.

You are not Hosea.

The Holy Spirit will not lead a wise man to build his covenant home on a foundation that is still running back to other men.

Choose a woman who fears God. Not one you have to keep rescuing from her lovers.

Not someone you plan to fix after the wedding.

The same chemicals engineered to kill pests in our food 🍲 are somehow considered acceptable for us to eat.

So what makes you think the troubles, temptations, and toxic patterns that ruin others spiritually won’t “upgrade” you?

The deception is ancient and subtle: “You will not surely die.”

But the fruit is already visible — convictions dulled, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit fading, lives quietly drained while we keep calling the poison “normal” or “progress.”

You cannot keep consuming what was designed to destroy and expect to come out stronger.

The Holy Spirit does not upgrade you by letting you flirt with death.
He upgrades you by calling you out of it.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)

The real transformation is not found in tolerating what kills.
It is found in daily yielding to the One who gives life.
