Just concluded a 2 day Paediatric laparoscopic surgery workshop in Nigeria. It was sponsored and organized by APSON/BAPES, our associations. I was accompanied by friends from BAPES, U.K. It was a great experience. We are trying to help establish paediatric laparoscopic surgery.

We had a excellent first day of the BAPES/Storz 3 mm paediatric laparoscopic surgery course. The Storz training and technology centre is state of the art. Today was the thoracic day. We taught oesophageal atresia repair, diaphragmatic hernia repair, and lung lobectomy on a pig.

We had an excellent final day teaching paediatric laparoscopic abdominal surgery in our BAPES/Storz advanced 3 mm laparoscopy course today. We taught fundoplication, cholecystectomy, splenectomy and stapled bowel anastomosis. Thanks to Medtronics, Teleflex, and Lawmed for support

We had a very successful BAPES annual international conference and workshop at the Møller institute in Cambridge University. It was a varied and interesting programme with very good papers presented. I was pleased to have organised it in our centre this year.@BAPS1953 @BAPES17
