Pastor Ibiyeomi doubles down on the anti-biblical claim he made last week that Jesus hates poor people and that he never visited them.
He claimed he was told the statement had drawn heavy backlash.
This prompted him to ask the Holy Spirit to know if his position was wrong.
He said the Holy Spirit said he wasn't wrong.
Meaning the holy spirit supports the claim that Jesus hates poor people and never visited their houses.
Even though He visited the house of Peter, a poor fisherman who was untrained and uneducated.
At 1:07, he said we should be angry when we mix and relate with poor people.
He furthered by saying we can only help but not associate with them.
You know, things like this stump us. We don't know what to feel. Anger, pain, hurt, disappointment?
We think we feel a little bit of all at the same time.
Pastor Ibiyeomi has simply borne false witness against God and the Holy Spirit here.
How can he say we cannot associate with the poor?
When Paul was given the right hand of fellowship, the apostles charged him to look after the poor and he himself was eager to.
Galatians 2:10
"All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along."
Who is lying here? The apostles or pastor Ibiyeomi? Pastor Ibiyeomi said what the Holy Spirit never said.
Did the Scriptures not say we should not despise the poor?
Proverbs 17:5
"Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished."
What did James say about the treatment of the poor in the church? He called for equal treatment.
James 2:3-4
If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet.”
Have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
This was James telling us it is evil to think in the ways Pastor Ibiyeomi has thought about the poor.
It is evil. It is against the word of God.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?
If the Lord loves the poor enough to give them the inheritance of glory, how come that same Holy Spirit told him not to associate with them?
Brethren, this is a lie against the Spirit.
If the Lord blessed those who are poor in the Beatitudes, only a spirit not from Him would despise them the way Pastor Ibiyeomi has done.
Brethren, this is a falsehood. We will receive a backlash for this, but that is fine.
Additionally, Pastor Ibiyeomi falsely quoted the Bible. In 1:31, he said Jesus said He died to bring us out of poverty.
Nowhere did Jesus say this in Scripture. Nowhere.
And when Bible said Jesus became poor that we may be rich, for the sake of God, this wasn't talking about cash.
Jesus took the form of a servant when He became man to die for us so that we'd have redemption and sonship in Him.
That act of emptying Himself brought the full riches of the glory of God on us.
They are redemption, sanctification, justification, and glorification at the end of time.
This is our precious hope, the one reserved in heaven for us, which we look forward to. This wasn't about cash. Never has been and never will be.
Using this to ridicule and dismiss the poor and promising money is not of God. It's a false gospel.
Pastor Ibieyeomi, in this instance, has preached a gospel that neither Jesus nor His apostles preached.
Lastly, we charge all believers reading this to stand firm in the true gospel. Please, sit right with the word of God.
We ask you to pick up the New Testament and commit the next 90 days to reading it.
You will find out many things flying about in the churcsphere of this nation are not from God.
We ask you to know this Bible for yourself, so that you won't be misled by those who would not honor it enough to teach what it says.
So that you would be built on the knowledge of the glory of God, which is on the face of Jesus.
May the Lord God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ keep shining His light in our hearts and lead us in triumphant procession in Christ.
To Him alone be all glory and praise. Amen.

The poor church. What can the poor church do, really?
The freedom of worship you experience in certain parts of the world today was not secured by a rich church. The Bible you enjoy in English today was not put together by the sacrifice of a rich Christian. The purity of doctrine that most subscribe to today is not the scholarly work of rich men camped around fires in palatial mansions. The preaching of the gospel that engulfed nations with revival; as fire rages through dry grass, was not because the church was rich. The church has never won or conquered for her King because she was rich. Rome and other civilizations bowed to the greatest message of life and hope humanity has ever received, not because the messengers were rich. The church's greatest asset has always been the blood of willing men who had seen the Light and been consumed by Him so much so that the only way to shut up their witness and conviction was to kill them. I beg you to study church history. What you will find is that the currency God expended was not money but men. You will literally be shaken!
What is this obsession that has overtaken the Christian and church in the present day? Why is it always a knife to throat approach when it comes to material prosperity?
Is money useful? Yes. But will God be able to achieve His purposes on the earth with a church that does not have money or material prosperity? Yes!
For God's sake, God is sovereign. If success/failure of His message, will, plans, and purposes are dependent on an earthly phenomenon such as money, then how can God be God?
See how Jesus sent out His disciples to preach:
Luke 9:1-6
"Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. And He said to them, “Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.
“Whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere."
Why is the church today different from the one the Apostles, Apostolic Fathers, and early Christians modelled? Because we have abandoned discipleship and our auditoriums are now full of unregenerate men and women whose obsession is a place where we are called to be temporary residents.
With all our teachings on mountains, influence, money, and wealth, there are nations where Christians live and are treated like less than humans. Our money has done nothing but advance our personal ambitions and empires and nothing for the burdens on the heart of God.
Oh, poor Pilgrim, don't be discouraged or weary. We will keep labouring until the knowledge of His glory covers the earth, like the waters cover the seas even if our bank balances are flat! On the other side of eternity, we will know those who really lived.
May he that reads understand!
I, THE LORD, SPEAK TO MY CHURCH…
Behold, I warn you: beware of “Long-term Fulfilling Ambitions” that blind your eyes to the nearness of MY return. You have become a people preoccupied with pursuits that stretch across years, ambitions that have made you numb to MY approach. You plan and labor as if this world is your eternal home.
Do you not know? These ambitions have made you blind to the urgency of the hour. In your striving, you push back the day of MY coming in your hearts, as if to make space for your own desires. But I, THE LORD, say to you: the time is short, and MY return is near.
Have you forgotten that this earth is not your home? Must I remind you again that the things you chase so desperately will burn? Yet you have allowed these pursuits to shape your lives and ministries. You have neglected the one thing that matters most: “Has MY Bride made herself ready?”
This question will stand before you when I appear. It is not your achievements I seek; it is your purity, your obedience, your readiness. Ministries must abandon their fixation on earthly success and restore the cry of the Spirit: “Prepare the way of the LORD!”

THE ENEMY DID THIS...
There are certain doctrines, once foundational in our churches, that have been forsaken, and I perceive this to be the cunning work of the adversary.
The teachings that would bring our lives under the full dominion of GOD's sovereignty have been subtly avoided.
We have become swollen with knowledge, yet we have turned away from the truths that would refine us into vessels of honor, pleasing and acceptable in the sight of the LORD.
Indeed, as one draws nearer to the heart of the FATHER, it is inevitable that their speech, convictions, and very outlook on life will be Altered. Yet, in our assemblies, the teachings that would draw us closer to HIM have all but disappeared.
Our labors have become efforts to legitimize the pursuit of fleeting earthly things, things that hold no place in the grand design of our MASTER.
But we are not without hope. For the one who will listen and return to the ancient paths will rediscover the assignment. Now is the appointed time to revive these forgotten doctrines, for the past eight to nine months have unveiled a sobering truth: after decades of toil, we have raised a generation of believers who do not fully submit to the LORDSHIP of CHRIST.

According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve maths, memorize things, and recall lessons.
After what happened at the Olympics opening, what we are about to say may touch your denomination, church, or minister.
For years now, we have been the ones that opened the door to our desecration by the world.
Recently, the Pope issued a statement that the Catholic Church may now bless homosexuals.
He said no one should be denied blessings.
We chose this example to represent the church's steady decline into immorality, the sin most warned about in the New Testament, over the years.
While many may argue blessing them isn't an endorsement of their lifestyle by the Pope or the Catholic Church, the Pope's overall approach to this satanic ideology suggests otherwise.
He has told a gay clerical sexual abuse survivor that “God made you like this. God loves you like this."
He has also openly said LGBTQ+ people are “children of God,” and recently invited a group of transgender women for lunch in the Vatican.
He has also praised those ministering to gay Catholics.
It is worthy to note the many African divisions of the Catholic Church vehemently opposed this declaration.
But the Pope isn't alone on this.
In 2014, the Presbyterian Church (USA) redefined marriage in its Book of Order to be between "two people," allowing pastors to officiate same-sex marriages wherever they are legal.
This change was ratified by the presbyteries and took effect in 2015.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) began allowing partnered gay and lesbian individuals to serve as pastors in 2009.
The Episcopal Church has permitted same-sex marriages since 2015, allowing any couple to access the rite of matrimony.
The church has been inclusive of LGBTQ clergy for many years, with the election of the first openly gay bishop, Gene Robinson, in 2003 being a notable milestone.
The United Methodist Church (UMC), in a landmark decision, removed bans on same-sex marriage and the ordination of LGBTQ clergy.
These are the highlights of the massive decline of the church over the years, a corruption of the gospel received in order to tolerate modern ideology.
This is almost limited to the West. But we have our own back home, especially here in Nigeria.
We shouldn't dilute the faith. We should neither make it more tolerable nor more rigid than the Bible made it.
We should make a distinction between the world and the church.
Celebrities who have featured in immoral entertainment events shouldn't be featured in prominent church instances.
Preachers shouldn't associate publicly with celebrities whose stance is more with the world than the church.
We should be strict where the Bible is strict. We should be flexible where the Bible is flexible.
We must preserve the gospel exactly the way it was given to us. If the gospel is corrupted, we will be corrupted.
2 Thessalonians 2:15:
"Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle."
Why do we need to hold fast to the received gospel? Because that is what can save us:
1 Timothy 4:16:
"Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you."
Finally, we cannot love or tolerate the world. When we confront the world, our message must be one thing and one thing alone—repentance.
This is why we cannot love the world. If we love them, love here meaning tolerance, we wouldn't want to present the gospel to them as it is an offense to the flesh.
But Paul did exactly that. When he got to Athens and saw the idolatry, he didn't "respect" and tolerate and welcome them to the faith.
He told them they would be judged unless they repent:
Acts 17:16:
"Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols."
Paul was provoked seeing sin.
Verses 30-31:
"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,
because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead."
He told them about judgment. That is how we must meet the world if we truly love. Repentance.
God's meaning of love is killing His Son for us. Not pampering our sins.
This was what music minister Kim Burrell fell into. She loved the award the world gave to her.
And at the acceptance speech, she apologized to the LGBTQ community. What a heartbreak. May God lead her to repentance.
We cannot love the world. Let us be strict with the gospel. We have a responsibility to.
Let us be gentle, but also firm in our gospel. That is the way we save the world.
The love that is not saving the world from sin isn't love. It is death.
May God keep us holy till He comes back. Amen.
Yesterday, the Olympics' opening ceremony surfaced as one of the most controversial in world history.
It was the biggest blasphemy, sacrilege, and ridicule of the Christian faith the world has ever seen.
Now, this angered us greatly. But strangely, we found joy. Before sharing, let us attempt to explain everything that happened at the opening ceremony.
The most prominent was the corruption of the Last Supper.
The Eucharist, or communion, is the start of the New Covenant.
It is the Christian's translation from the world of death and sin to life and righteousness.
It is our blessed hope and assurance that we are joined with the Lord forever.
That was what they chose to desecrate. They replaced Christ, the head of the church, with an obese woman who looked like a queen.
They replaced the apostles who witnessed the gospel that saved the world with depraved gays, lesbians, and transgender degenerates.
Replacing Christ with a woman looking like a queen is like making a statement of being joined with a Christ that is not Jesus, but a Queen of Heaven—
Jeremiah 44:19:
“And,” said the women, “when we were burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and were pouring out drink offerings to her, was it without our husbands that we made for her sacrificial cakes in her image and poured out drink offerings to her?”
The apostles witnessed the gospel Christ preached to us. They are the channels through which the gospel that saves is preached:
Hebrews 2:3:
"How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him?"
Replacing them with depraved, immoral transgender and gay people is like signifying that another gospel of immorality is being witnessed, the one that spreads the gospel of our fallen state before salvation.
They exalted the Golden Calf in a worship-like embrace.
Remember, the Golden Calf was the first idol the Israelites turned to just 40 days after receiving the Law at Mount Sinai.
It is a direct statement of rebellion against God. This world has and will denounce God.
They featured one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from the book of Revelation.
The Pale Horse symbolizes death and decay, and hell follows closely behind it.
This perhaps is a symbol of the realm of sin and darkness in immoral works that they all belong to and hope to take many to.
They went through this immense trouble to simply tell the world they belong to Satan and hope to drag millions to the fallen world Jesus saved us from.
If that was all they did, maybe there'd be no outrage. But they desecrated the faith of 2.4 billion people doing it.
They threw all caution against disrespecting other people's religion to the wind.
The need to honor and not discriminate against other people's faith that the West passionately advocates was dismissed yesterday.
They desecrated the Christian faith, openly, before 1 billion eyes.
Now, here is our joy. The happiness we found in this whole thing is that no one is pretending anymore.
They have openly defiled our faith, so we can now openly proclaim and defend it.
They threw all civility in respecting sacred elements of religion to the wind.
We, too, will now, as we should have been, proclaim every aspect of our faith without any restraint.
It will not matter which groups feel our gospel affects them. We are respectful and gentle as Christians.
But we will also be firm and assertive in the things it condemns and those it commends.
CHRISTIANS, DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU TO BE "CIVIL" ABOUT TALKING ABOUT YOUR FAITH.
TALK ABOUT IT. EVERYWHERE. ANYWHERE. ANYTIME.
STAND FOR IT. STAND BY IT. STAND ON IT.
If the Olympics could defile the Eucharist, you can talk about the gospel on the bus.
If the Olympics could worship the Golden Calf, you can tell your employer you can't do certain things because you are a Christian.
Stand for the gospel. Stand by the Gospel. Stand on the Gospel.
Lastly, Satanism is real. The West has been captured by him. The Man of Lawlessness, the spirit of the antichrist, rules the West.
That is why everything is about the LGBTQ ideology. Everything.
That is the sin that hallmarks the fallen world of sin. It is not a conspiracy theory to say that Satanism is the religion of the West.
So, be wary of their entertainment.
Be wary of their ideologies.
Be wary of their money.
Be wary. Stay in the word daily, and pray without ceasing. That is how we remain pure in this crooked and dark generation as we hold fast to the word of life—

Now we want to address two things. The first one is the chief criticism some Christians are starting to direct against chanting.
They say it is taking over Nigeria's gospel music ecosystem. They claim gospel artists are now barely singing intelligible songs.
While they reserve the rights to reach such conclusions,
we have cogent reasons to believe it is a rather serious example of recency bias which is the tendency to exaggerate recent experience to evaluate the current situation of things.
It is clear that the most trendy gospel songs in Nigeria in 2024 are not chants. We can list some now off the top of our head:
Worthy of my Praise - Dunsin Oyekan
Yahweh Sabboath - Nathaniel Bassey
Agbara Olorun Po - Apst. Emmanuel Iren
Aileyipada - Sunmisola Agbebi
And many more.
Now, simple analysis would insist that we cannot say a practice is dominant when it doesn't account for at least 60% of the outcome it is claimed to have colonized.
Can we say chanting has taken over directly intelligible gospel singing when intelligible songs account for the overwhelming majority of mainstream gospel songs?
Of course not. No evidence supports that claim as the majority of trendy gospel songs are indeed in intelligible words.
Secondly, is chanting unbiblical like Abel Damina and some other think? The first thing we believe we all need to note about chanting is that it is a valid genre of vocal music.
This genre of music is peculiar to various cultures and religions, including Christianity as we have liturgical chants in Roman Catholicism, Easter Orthodoxy, and now obviously, Protestantism.
Now, since this is a valid genre of music, it has the obvious permissiblity that other genres have in Christian musicals.
That said, is it biblical? We believe the first error is assigning the term chanting to it. It is singing in tongues. That usually sounds like chants and other times mimic solemn classical-like rhythms. Therefore,
CHANTING IS THE MELODIFICATION OF SPEAKING IN THE SPIRIT.
Paul confirms this:
1 Cor. 14:15
"So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will SING with my SPIRIT, but I will also sing with my understanding."
We can sing in the spirit. That means we can sing using glossolalia, the unintelligible language of the Spirit that no one understands as it is mystery in the Spirit:
1 Cor. 14:2
"For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit."
Now, we see that we can indeed sing in tongues as we speak in tongues. This confirms its biblicality.
But what about it actual practice? Well, Paul said he would sing in tongues and also in the Spirit. And that is what is dominant in the Nigerian gospel music space.
Lawrence Oyor sang in tongues in Worthy of my Praise.
Theophilus Sunday sang both in tongues and understanding in Eagle's Flight.
Nathaniel Bassey didn't sing in tongues at all in Yahweh Sabbaoth.
We can give tons of examples. But it is clear that singing in the Spirit, what we now call chanting, is biblical. The practice is biblical.
FInally, Abel Damina saying channels of the spirit isn't biblical really is surprising. It is clear Dunsin Oyekan's Open Up is an echo of the teaching of Paul in 2 Cor. 5 where he talked about the heavenly body that will swallow up mortality.
And that we groan to have this heavenly habitation. His lyrics echo such sentiments about the reality of being in the new life with old things passed away:
Out of the mundane
To where I'm ordained
For things that were made
Were made from things unseen
There are realms of glory
For my world to see
Dimensions found only
In Jesus Christ the Son
Channels of my spirit
Open up
I am with the Father
Open up
No boundaries no limits
Open up
Let deep call unto deep
Open up
He even climaxed the song by saying "Out of my belly shall flow out rivers of living water."
The "Channel of my spirit open up" is a metaphor to describe the ongoing sanctification and conformity to the image of the Son.
It is a groaning that is emphatically demanded we practice in Scripture. So, it is indeed biblical, contrary to what Abel Damina claimed.
We do hope we now see that singing in the spirit isn't taking over intelligible singing in the gospel music space.
Also, glossolalic singing or singing in tongues, is indeed biblical and Paul practiced it.
And finally, Dunsin's Channel of my Spirit Open Up is clearly a groan for the conformity to the Godly image of the Son.

Theophilus Sunday sang both in tongues and understanding in Eagle's Flight.
Nathaniel Bassey didn't sing in tongues at all in Yahweh Sabbaoth.
We can give tons of examples. But it is clear that singing in the Spirit, what we now call chanting, is biblical. The practice is biblical.
FInally, Abel Damina saying channels of the spirit isn't biblical really is surprising. It is clear Dunsin Oyekan's Open Up is an echo of the teaching of Paul in 2 Cor. 5 where he talked about the heavenly body that will swallow up mortality.
And that we groan to have this heavenly habitation. His lyrics echo such sentiments about the reality of being in the new life with old things passed away:
Out of the mundane
To where I'm ordained
For things that were made
Were made from things unseen
There are realms of glory
For my world to see
Dimensions found only
In Jesus Christ the Son
Channels of my spirit

I am with the Father

He even climaxed the song by saying "Out of my belly shall flow out rivers of living water."
The "Channel of my spirit open up" is a metaphor to describe the ongoing sanctification and conformity to the image of the Son.
It is a groaning that is emphatically demanded we practice in Scripture. So, it is indeed biblical, contrary to what Abel Damina claimed.
We do hope we now see that singing in the spirit isn't taking over intelligible singing in the gospel music space.
Also, glossolalic singing or singing in tongues, is indeed biblical and Paul practiced it.
And finally, Dunsin's Channel of my Spirit Open Up is clearly a groan for the conformity to the Godly image of the Son.

We're still just starting.
It will get worse and worse. The noose will continue to tighten and choke everyone until Nigerians finally grasp that their only reward for always "adjusting," never pushing back and constantly shying away from the most important confrontations, is that they embolden those whose business model is to sell or eat them.
For about 400 years, the West African ruling class has had the exact same M.O. and business model - live parasitically off the ordinary people and/or sell them and their futures for mirrors and trinkets. The only thing that has changed is the commodity. They used to sell the people directly, now they sell the minerals and oil under the people's feet and treat the people as an irritating organic inconvenience between the resources and the buyers.
Throughout the entire 400 years of being treated as farm commodities and organic inconveniences, the West African commoner for some reason, has stubbornly REFUSED to fight back. If I were the ruling class, there is no reason on this planet why I would stop eating people who can't stop submitting to me even after I have made it abundantly clear how much I detest them.
If there are 210 million of them and fewer than 6,000 of me, but the 210,000,000 do nothing but constantly cower and whimper in front of me, finding every excuse under the sun to avoid standing up for themselves, then they pretty much deserve whatever it is that I do to them. If they haven't decided that their lives have the same human value that mine has, then maybe that's just how God intended it.
Nigerians should continue to cower very well!
Prophecy takes faith in God, patience, process, and alignment to manifest.
While praying and trusting God, do not forget the role the aforementioned plays in the grand scheme of God's plan.
