@jmsgwd Thank you. Would you like a credit and if so what name?

[James Cook @BBCJamesCook]

@ptaylo @BBCNews Thanks very much Phil. Hope you and the family are well. James

[James Cook @BBCJamesCook]

@PJTheEconomist At the very least someone could have told her how to pronounce Kirkcaldy.

[James Cook @BBCJamesCook]

@ginandfred @BBCPolitics @BBCNews You can’t have heard them because I didn’t say them and I’ve sent you a link to the report to prove it. I know we’re supposedly living in the post-truth era but even so, c’mon! Can’t you just say: “Oops. Sorry about that. My mistake.”

[James Cook @BBCJamesCook]

@ginandfred @BBCPolitics @BBCNews I’m saying you may have misheard or misremembered. I said, over pictures of a woman stitching a fishing net, the deal had been “stitched together” a perfectly reasonable phrase without the negative connotations of “stitch up”. Maybe that was it? https://t.co/XalB12gQJm

[James Cook @BBCJamesCook]

@ginandfred @BBCPolitics @BBCNews Are you sure about that? Send me the link.

[James Cook @BBCJamesCook]

@ginandfred @BBCPolitics @BBCNews Who said that?

[James Waterhouse @JamWaterhouse]

On Newscast we discuss whether Donald Trump is still interested in Ukraine?

FACTS — 10,481 recorded drugs deaths in Scotland in 10 years. Details of the “trend” (up, up, up, up, up, up, up, fractionally down, down, up) are included in my piece. (He blocked me hence screenshot).

🔴 ⚠️ #StormÉowyn. The Ayr-Stranraer line won't reopen today, as we continue to deal with many fallen trees, with 30 down at one location alone.

Also working with Scottish Power to deal with fallen power cables over the railway near Ayr.

It's the coldest night of the winter so far. Kinbrace in Sutherland has dipped to -17.6C

[James Cook @BBCJamesCook]

Brrrrrrr! 🥶

[Calum MacColl @weatherblether]

Altnaharra now has plummeted to -15.7C! A classic night where the land radiates away rapidly over deep snow cover. On the way to -20C!

@FGrampia It was a joke about bureaucracy. No offence meant to the lynx. Have a good evening.

[James Cook @BBCJamesCook]

Police warn that two lynx are on the loose in the Highlands.

Although I can’t imagine calling 101 and patiently quoting incident number 2179/08/01/25 if a big cat were on my tail!

[Police Scotland South Highlands @PSOSSouthHigh]

Two lynx have been spotted in the Drumguish area near to Kingussie. Specially trained staff from Highland Wildlife Park are assisting officers to trace them.

Do not approach the lynx or attend the area, but instead call police via 101. Quote inc no 2179/08/01/25 when calling.

@ScotRail We’re dealing with 15 flooding incidents on the Far North Line. We’re also dealing with a landslip near Brora.

Teams working hard to respond, but hampered by poor driving conditions, and the A9 closure near Invergordon. @ScotRail @DRSgovUK @transcotland

BREAKING: Humza Yousaf to step down as MSP at next election https://t.co/qFl5ABXxkv

I was with the press pool in the cathedral. I talked to the journalists next to me about texts from colleagues outside re jeering. It is not true to say “we had ALL mistaken inside for outside” At no point did I hear any jeering inside nor did I hear anyone suggest there was any.

[Wings Over Scotland @WingsScotland]

Kudos for the admission. But how did this "false information" come to be "going around the press pool within the cathedral"? If they were in the cathedral, they must have known it was false, because none of them heard it (because it didn't happen).
