What does it say? Who wrote it?

Let’s start with what we do know.

• The scroll is dated to the 2nd century BCE

• The content is a Stoic philosophical treatise on ethics, human nature, impulse, practical wisdom, and moral progress.

• Scholars date this scroll to the 2nd century BC because its final column mentions Aristocreon, who was the nephew and disciple of the famous Stoic philosopher Chrysippus (c. 279–206 BC)

• The scroll has been successfully virtually unrolled.

• The Greek text has been extracted but is fragmentary in places.

• We have the full Greek, but only partial English translations have been released publicly.

A ham radio operator in 1963 using a Teletype Model 15 paired with a Morse key....

Teletype Model 15, first introduced in the 1930s, was a rugged and reliable electromechanical typewriter that could send and receive text over radio waves using radioteletype (RTTY). It clattered out messages on rolls of paper, translating electrical signals into printed characters with rhythmic precision.

Paired with a traditional Morse key, the setup gave operators the flexibility to communicate via both RTTY and CW (continuous wave) modes. Morse code was still widely used for its simplicity and effectiveness under weak signal conditions, while RTTY allowed for faster, typewritten messages.

As for why she is scantily clad, I believe the room was very hot because of the heat generated from the machines....
