On Wednesday night, we played our first gig in two and a half years. All that time, we've been waiting to play this chart, written for Doc Severinsen's Tonight Show band. You'll realise why when you hear it. It's thrilling.

We made our debut at South Wales Big Band Society on Tuesday, and here are a few of the numbers we played. It was a great night.

Nick Care helped make Aylesbury Music Centre a really magical part of my childhood & teenage years, and even gifted me some very moderate musical skills, plus a huge love of big band music, which I still put into practice on a weekly basis with the fab @BCBigBand

Next Wednesday night, come and see us playing in the bar at the Bristol Old Vic. Dancing will be positively encouraged. Downbeat at 9pm.

We haven't been together since March. It's been rotten. Some compare lockdown to the blackout, but at least they had the big bands and dancing to get them through. Here's hoping we're back to this sort of thing before too long. https://t.co/vPyMIgpDZl

[Bristol Community Big Band @BCBigBand]

Two gigs from us this month. We're @IntheCanteen on Thursday 19 March, and we're closing the @BristolJazzFest with a swing dance night at the Colston Hall on Sunday 29 March. Come along and cut a rug. https://t.co/MWZnIfo5vh

[Bristol Community Big Band @BCBigBand]

There were no Christmas gigs for us this year, but we've dug this out from when we were @IntheCanteen last year. We should pull it out in summer to confuse people. The rather lovely chart is by Andy Hague.
