@mattgurney Politics became so self serving the last 10 years,
a large portion of mine dried up & collapsed like a column of dust. I don’t love the feeling…
@mattgurney I refuse to get bifocals (they make me feel nauseous) so I have pairs for driving (because I inevitably leave them… somewhere…), ones for being on the computer all day, and then 5-6 pairs scattered about for reading (BestBefore dates, laundry labels, books etc)…
@middle_canadian@mattgurney A pair in the kitchen for BestBefore dates, one in the laundry room for care labels, one in the purse for shopping, one by the reading chair… sigh.
Did you hear Jeremy Rath on AM770 this AM? I do sympathize with many of the genuine complaints, but he offered only juvenile name calling and talking points displaying puddle deep thinking. “Trust me bro” spoken in what sounded too close to Trucknutzese… sure, straight path to freedom there, yup.
At my local Sobeys or SaveOn, can I get my medication? Sure. But I can’t get full outfits for the whole family (including underwear and shoes), a set of towels, a BBQ (charcoal and propane), new dishes to serve 12, books for every age range, a countertop cappuccino machine and a new set of prescription glasses. I think most grocery stores have expanded their product lines, but Loblaws seems lead the pack in this, by many many degrees.
@mattgurney I also look forward to hearing about how it was smooth sailing through the permitting process - Toronto is well known for that, is it not? [They better not serve coffees.] And! And the names! Can’t wait to hear what the Sankofa Square committee comes up with.
@mattgurney Hey hey hey… ink’s not even dry on the LMIA application, connected friends haven’t even set up new LLCs. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, now….Let it breathe…
