It’s awesome that something so simple as making a small gesture to make people feel welcome, usually people who have had to hide or struggle with their identities, is a punchline for you guys.

@daveweigel You would think trans issues are the single most important issue in American society and politics based on how many tweets Dave shares or posts. Not inflation, or Trump, or Iran, or the economy, or AI, but trans people.
It’s bizarre.
@daveweigel Dave can rarely go a single day so without posting or retweeting something about trans people, how politically Democrats are stupid for supporting them, and generally sees to just amplify and anti-trans posts by conservatives.
Sadly predictable outcome of the anti-trans hysteria being supported by Republicans and Democrats.
A teenager filed a discrimination charge against a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant after having to expose herself to prove she was a woman.
A server reportedly stopped her from using the women’s bathroom and told her to “get out” until she revealed herself under her top.

@_waleedshahid McBride may be willing to cede her rights to Republicans, and portray that as merely a distraction, but not all queer and trans people agree.
Where does she or Democrats draw the line? if Republicans bar trans people from locker rooms should we let that go to?
