@CookeeCharlie Couldn’t really understand what we were thinking. Just bizarre backwards cricket. The only thing keeping me from not being too critical is how much the narrative may have changed had duckett caught it. But after that- a shambles.
@CFitzy7@jamiepersonaI@rs_3702 Cheers, wanted to work it out after it gave me two different sets of numbers & with both averages being north of 60 feeling too high.
Still more than handy return from our 🐐
@jamiepersonaI@rs_3702 Root has scored 3,522 at 65 since brook debut, Brook 3,234 at 54.
However an England scorecard more likely has brook scoring runs than not! Still think perception of him is odd- if averaged 5 runs less but batted “more conventional” he would be less criticised which is mad!
One of our greatest ever, signing off.
Kane Williamson has announced his retirement from international cricket effective immediately.

@jamiepersonaI Certainly wouldn’t argue against that & not a lot in it.
I’d possibly edge to root just on sample size but as of right now can’t be many in the world that can make bowlers fearful when it’s nipping still like brook can
@bbctms A class operator in his own right. Testament to his level that he is put in a bracket with players from the “big 3”. Would be intrigued to see how his record would have been had New Zealand been given similar amount of games as the big 3.
@JJIdsardi Feels like Humphries is the equivalent of the Jurgen Klopp Liverpool. Unbelievable level who is right up there, but play their best level in an era that involves someone of an all time level (Littler / Pep Guardiola Man City).
Hope he gets his flowers tho, top top player.
@RobinNestBCFC Individually I have liked them all. Given context they all did well in my eyes & did good jobs.
But whilst they have all done well, their appointments hasnt necessarily followed a coherent plan from one to the next.
Individually very good, collectively not so much imo
