We will be there! Will you?
Let's advocate together for the changes that we know can have a huge impact on patients' lives NOW.
Physician Assistants are working in other provinces in all healthcare settings. Why is the BC MoH limiting their practice settings in BC?!
Physician Assistants could be key members in Specialists Team Care model! 📣
CPSBC bylaws changed to allow PAs to practice, but only in EDs & employed by Health Authorities. This must be expanded, as there are so many healthcare gaps PAs can fill!

Airlines are disappointing
First - @AirCanada had ops issue that resulted in missed flight
Great they rebooked
Second - tried accessing @WestJet lounge because of “Gold” status
turns out their loyalty is only if you fly with them
Do better 🇨🇦 airlines
Loyalty is more than $
@CCurrieadvocate @BCFamilyDoctors @DoctorsOfBC@BCCFP Just a thought…why not enable family MDs to hire NPs & PAs…incentivize attached telehealth to be more regional and if someone needs an exam…it’s a short commute to someone who already knows some history 🤷♂️

The only update on physician assistants since adopting the bylaw.
1. Pretty sure there’s no PAs or @CAPA_ACAM at the table to work on the compensation model
2. Lots of policies about PA across 🇨🇦 should be fairly simple
3. Not sure why @cpsbc mentions associate physicians
🇨🇦 Happy National Physician Assistant Day! 🎉 Celebrating PAs' contributions since the 1950s, from Canadian Military service to nationwide healthcare. Thank you to the 1000+ dedicated PAs.

We thank @SKGov for investing in a Masters PA training program with 20 seats at @usask to commence in 2025! We look forward to the positive impact that PAs will make on patient care.

Addition of advanced practice providers to #HealthCare teams. Optimizing health care teams by including #NursePractitioners and #PhysicianAssistants would increase efficiencies and value for money spent in BC’s health care system. Read the article: https://t.co/tw0v2Qvg4t
I’m excited to see this finally happening in BC! Thank you @adriandix@CAPA_ACAM and everyone who continues to push for rethinking how we structure our health care system in Canada 🇨🇦 #BC#Canadianhealthcare https://t.co/GtrOGpfvqp @CTVNews
@TorontoER_PA Feels good 😃
Proud to have built on the efforts of many before and to support @unsto_pa_ble@CAPA_ACAM in reaching this milestone.
Teamwork makes the dreamwork!
@SKGandhiMD It’s a start…
be even better if the emerg PA working in rural BC could work in family practice, CHC or other non HA employers when not in the ER.
Say Coast Guard, corrections Canada
Surgical wait times could improve also…decreasing M&M but costs would no longer be deferred
