Founded in 1983, BCRPM are a group of British people who having considered the case for the reunification of the Parthenon Marbles, strongly support it.
strong belief - the surviving and fragmented sculptures from the Parthenon deserve to be reunited in the #ParthenonGallery of the #AcropolisMuseum, where they can be viewed in context and with direct views to the Parthenon

UNESCO'S ICPRCP 25th Session, countries urging the UK to find the political and ethical courage to reunite the Parthenon Marbles
https://t.co/EKzNo1Rio4
The 25th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in Case of Illicit Appropriation (ICPRCP), took place in Paris 20-22 May. ICPRCP continues to reaffirm its commitment to the protection of cultural heritage and fight against the illicit trafficking of cultural property. The Draft https://t.co/2a5jnDxb9R 7 regarding the reunification of the Parthenon Marbles continues to state that the issue remains pending. Four decades plus of tabling this cultural impasse, we continue to hope for a holistic solution in the not too distant future. https://t.co/BULgZTbgDc
Artifacts pulled from the sunken depths of Thonis-Heracleion in Egypt challenge what we accept about ancient Mediterranean history. This massive port city built in the 12th century BC holds Greek ceramics that somehow survived massive tsunamis and deep soil liquefaction without a single crack..
I’ll be discussing an interesting and wide-ranging new book Why We Think What We Think @penguinrandom@PenguinUKBooks with its author @turi Munthe @blackwelloxford on Wednesday at 5.30pm https://t.co/oyhCwlgj1W
democracy matters, as does your opinion and that of others - what is worrying is the lies that were fed to voters to turn a referendum into an economic car crash that continues to be challenging and the same folks are pedalling more factoids to get wealthier whilst the poor get poorer

@DeborahMeaden seems madness is running riot in UK politics when there are those whose main aim is to cause more self-harm to this nation at a particularly difficult time in global politics too - here's to sense and sensibility prevailing
@KateWilton1 it baffles us too as one doesn't have to like him to appreciate that he is trying to rebalance a nation that is out of kilter and being human he may get things wrong too - seems that the Brexit self-harm is still a driving force for the UK's electorate, sigh
@CarolineLucas Brexit was a disaster, those that promoted it and made it happen should not be peddling more lies to continue to ensure they get what they want whilst ordinary folks suffer longer! hoping for that epiphany moment, here's to hope.
totally and it is preferable that this Prime Minister doesn't use theatrics or constant soundbites and gimmicks to grab attention that also is wrapped in what no politician can deliver.... it is sad that post Brexit folks are still drawn to those that promise the earth only to deliver despair in the long run..... totally fair
Ancient Greek ballots used to kick politicians out of Athens!
Broken pieces of pot, known as ‘ostraca’, were used in a democratic process known as an ‘ostracism’. If a candidate received 6,000 votes, they were exiled for 10 years!
Ostraca inscribed with the name of the famous Athenian general and politician ‘Themistocles’, 482 BC.
