Despite having hundreds of mosques in New York, mass street โprayersโ are becoming a staple of life in the Big Apple.
And itโs not prayers, my friends, but assertion. They are claiming turf, like hyenas pissing to mark territory.
Two observations. First, this is the best voice of Muslims in Israel that both the media and the Gaza fanatics ignore.
Second, whenโs the last time you heard a British Muslim speak like this? There have been some but not many. Why?
I never wanted to be a political account.
I'm a British Jew. A husband. A father of two. An engineer. A man who believed that if you worked hard, treated people decently and kept your head down, the world would mostly leave you alone.
My grandfather survived Auschwitz.
For most of my life, antisemitism felt like history. Something to remember, not something my children would have to face.
Then came October 7th.
Since then I've watched Jewish people told to stay quiet, hide who they are, apologise for who they are, or accept standards that would never be applied to anyone else.
For a long time I said very little. I didn't want to drag my family into politics. I convinced myself someone else would speak.
Eventually I realised that silence comes with its own cost.
Martin Luther King Jr wrote:
"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
So I'm speaking.
Against antisemitism.
Against extremism.
Against political intimidation.
For free speech, liberal democracy, integration and honest debate.
You don't have to agree with me on everything.
But if you're willing to have difficult conversations without hatred, you're welcome here.
This is an ALL GIRLS Jewish school in my district. Iโm all for prayer and free speech, but why do a bunch of GROWN MEN need to do this right outside of a school full of little Jewish girls??? Is not this what MOSQUES are for? Is this intentional? Mayor Mamdani @NYCMayor any words of wisdom on why all of a sudden theyโd feel compelled to do this?
A Palestinian man from Gaza has made a formal submission to the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor, demanding that 14 Hamas leaders be investigated for crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
This is the first such filing by a Palestinian against Hamas.
The man lost his wife, children, and other family members in the war in Gaza.
Should the ICC move forward with this case, I hope the world takes it as seriously as the one filed against Israel by South Africa.
BREAKING from @Jerusalem_Post: A Palestinian man from Gaza has formally demanded that the International Criminal Court investigate 14 Hamas leaders for crimes committed against Palestinians.
The man lost his wife, children, and other family members during the war in Gaza. He argues that if Hamas had not committed war crimes against Palestinians, particularly the crime of using civilians as human shields, his family and countless other Gazans would still be alive.
War crimes and crimes against humanity listed in the submission include using civilians as human shields, attacking civilians, causing great suffering, destruction of property, excessive incidental death, injury, or damage, conscripting children, murder, extermination, torture, persecution, and more.
The Hamas leaders named in the submission are Izz al-Din al-Haddad, Khaled Mashaal, Mahmoud al-Zahar, Mohammed Odeh, Muhannad Rajab, Khalil al-Hayya, Mousa Abu Marzook, Ghazi Hamad, Izzat al-Rishq, Fathi Hamad, Nizar Awadallah, Husam Badran, Zaher Jabarin, and Basem Naim.
For decades, innocent Palestinians have paid the price for Hamas's genocidal war against Israel. They deserve justice.
The submission was filed on behalf of the Gazan man by American attorneys @ElliotMalin and Eli Rosenbaum and French attorney @sarah_scialom.
After October the 7th when they celebrated on the streets with their Palastine flags he said NOTHING.
When people drove through London threatening to r@pe Jews he said NOTHING.
When British school girls were r@ped by immigrants he said NOTHING.
When people were murdered by those they let in on the boats he said NOTHING.
Two years of antisemitic hate marches every weekend and hes said NOTHING!
Now people like me gather to peacefully but vocally push back and as he did after Southport, he brands us all racist thugs!
I know some of those organising tomorrow, I go every year. Colourful characters yes, racists no! Racisms got nothing to do with #UniteTheKingdom.
Your attempts to use us as a distraction from your own problems sickens me #KeirStarmer, you know nothing of real British people, you know nothing of #TommyRobinson, you know nothing of us.
We're just normal patriotic people who are worried for our families because of what you're doing to our Country.
I've heard people say although you're a useless PM you're a decent man. I know you to be exactly the opposite.
Itโs as though Keir Starmer is on a suicide mission as Prime Minister at this point. How did this divisive and dishonest tactic work after Southport? He has done nothing to stop the small boats, nothing to ban Iranโs terror fronts in the UK and now makes his stand on this?
If British jews are to be held responsible for what happens in Gaza...then by the same reasoning British Muslims should be held responsible for the massacres of Christians by Muslims in Nigeria
