Katie Zacharia says Trump was well aware she was raising four children when he tapped her for a demanding White House role — something she says speaks to his support for working parents.

"He knew that this job would be demanding and still placed his trust in me... I intend to, to the extent possible, include my family, include my kids in my work. Though my work will be demanding, they will always be a priority."

Zacharia says she plans to include her children in her professional life whenever possible while making clear that family will remain a priority.

She also points to Karoline Leavitt as someone who has helped her navigate the demands of motherhood alongside a high-profile career.
