💔My friend called me this morning angry and confused.
He said:
“Bro, I don’t even know if I’m in a marriage or a sponsorship deal anymore.”
I asked what happened.
He said his wife recently started a small online business after months of struggling to set it up.
During that period, he supported everything ; data subscriptions, rent, feeding, even paid for her product photoshoot and branding.
He said he never asked for repayment, just support when things start moving.
Last week, her business finally started making profit.
He said he was genuinely proud of her.
So he jokingly told her:
“At least now I can reduce pressure small, make you help with house expenses”
That’s when everything shifted.
She looked at him and said:
@AanuAanu634905@lovyPrimzy1 I beg to differ, some people lie and pretend before and even in the marriage. The reality shows up based on conditions. If the conditions change, the attitude will change. Many marriages and relationships are built on conditions.
As a Muslim, there's something that genuinely bothers me.
Millions of Muslims live in Christian majority countries, build mosques, preach Islam publicly, distribute Qur'ans, open halal businesses, and demand religious freedom, and rightly so.
Some even call for aspects of Shariah to be accommodated in the societies they've moved to.
Yet in some Muslim majority countries, Christians cannot openly preach the Gospel, build churches freely, or practice their faith without restrictions.
Why?
If we demand religious freedom for ourselves, we should be willing to grant it to others.
Truth does not need censorship.
If Islam is the truth, it has nothing to fear from a church, a Bible, or a Christian preacher.
You can't demand tolerance and freedom for Muslims abroad while denying the same freedoms to others at home.
The double standard needs to be called out.
If Nigeria and Ghana start a trade war with South Africa like some of their gov officials are now starting to talk about that possible option, who will lose more?
First let’s look at the exchanged goods. Both Nigeria and Ghana sell crude oil to South Africa, which South Africa can replace with Angola, UAE and even Russia. The price change of fuel will not be noticeable. We buy crude from them because it’s convenient. Not because it’s a must.
Now let’s look at what would happen to them. First of all, all their telecommunications infrastructure and banking are South African. Shutting those down would cause immediate chaos.
Secondly, they buy industrial machinery from us. I know you think they can just buy in China. Nope! Because they are using our banks, and their currencies are too low on strength, trying to buy from China using Dollars or Yuan will finish their reserves.
How? Because SA trades and work with these countries, it can accept their weaker currencies. Also because of the new Pan African payment system called PAPSS, which uses local African currencies, these guys do not have to sell their Dollar reserves and use them for day to day trade. Because if they were to buy the same goods from a non African country, they would have to sell their dollar savings because the dollar is strong and then buy day to day goods. And when they don’t have dollars their currencies can be attacked.
When Forex traders know that a country’s currency is on its knees and they don’t have external dollars to buy it back in case of an emergency, they will short it and profit from your collapse. So it’s a must for countries to hold external currencies for emergencies. So South Africa protects these countries in a way because it can be a buffer that helps them get goods without using their security reserves.
Not to mention transport costs importing from Beijing won’t be as cheap as importing from Durban. Transporting machines is more sophisticated and expensive than transporting oil. And if they decide, they are going for a non African option anyway, they may find that overseas nations will dominate their industries in a way that South Africa can’t. Because South Africa uses their local economic participation and integration.
So if a misguided trade war were to be started by these 2 nations, it would be the most suicidal thing we have ever witnessed in the history of trade wars. It would be extremely unwise for these guys to start something like that. Literally their economies would plunge to Zimbabwean levels in the 2000s. Do not worry about these diplomats and “experts” on social media. They do not understand the real situation.
You South Africans, continue holding your leaders accountable and make them implement your laws without fear. Le ska tshaba. South Africa is the protector of these countries.
Yesterday’s FIFA World Cup Opening showed what this handful of hateful Ntelezi idiots have done for South Africa’s international reputation and decades of goodwill.
All the genuine outrage against illegal immigration has drowned under their violent acts, human rights violations and threats while they run around the country barefoot telling us they are “men”
Decades of goodwill built on international solidarity, opposition to Israeli genocide in Palestine, cooperation with other nations, gone to dust.
Football is a global language where even politics find expression, and these jokes about how SA at the World Cup is in a “rush to go home and defend their jobs and women” or how “They can’t attack Mexico because they are not African and Black” - this is not only banter, it’s political satire
It shows how the world view is shifting towards viewing South Africa as a hub of hate, something that has never been part of our identity. I mean we are being compared to Argentina and Morocco, who have committed human rights atrocities against Africans respectively.
The State should take responsibility for allowing hate groups which stop children at clinics, schools, beat people and in some instances incite murder, to define our international identity. It’s not a joke, and we cannot banter our way out of it. It’s a stain.
South Africa being regarded as the hate capital of Africa at a FIFA World Cup would have been unimaginable in 2010.
Israel is smiling wherever it is, because its mission accomplished. We have lost our moral authority on the global stage.
@Prettyjola_@Olaniyan1167448@AsakyGRN 😂 see how manipulative you guys are. You people will continue suffering like that. Men will keep using you and dumping you.
