@eliajf@rjonesy@drbarnard I’ll update you. Supposedly my case has been escalated and I have a direct contact, but so far they’ve not been able to give any better answers than calling the main line.
@rjonesy@eliajf@drbarnard They told me they’d get back to me with tracking, but of course never did. I’m going to get back in touch tomorrow and ask what happens if we haven’t received anything by the end of distribution date on the 31st.

@rjonesy@eliajf@drbarnard Yep! I don’t think there is anything nefarious going on. It’s just being poorly managed. The lack of good communication is allowing people to jump to sinister conclusions, though. Hopefully they have someone in-house that can step in and turn things around.
@eliajf@drbarnard@rjonesy Nothing yet. I sent an email to the law firm handling the case just to make sure they’re aware of the communications problems. Doubt it will do any good.
@drbarnard@eliajf@rjonesy I do think someone should have checked the addresses on the W-9s against the claim filings and flagged those that didn’t match for verification. When I talked them, I told them the lack of communication fosters suspicion and it’s a solvable problem (e.g. status update emails).
@eliajf@drbarnard@rjonesy I did tell them my next step would be contacting the judge overseeing the case. They kept saying none of this is their fault, but the lack of feedback and accurate information is certainly on them. So maybe if a bunch of people start complaining to the judge that will help. 2/2
@eliajf@drbarnard@rjonesy I called them directly today (won't post the number publicly, but I'd be happy to DM it to anyone that wants it) and was told they went out on the 12th. They could not provide confirmation that our check was in the batch, though. 1/2
@ChasingSound It's very bright sounding, especially the neck pickup, but in a good way. My 16-year-old-wanna-be-metal-god self would be very upset to learn that 30+ years later, not only would he own a Tele, but he'd play it regularly.
