We've all had a funny/awkward conversation in an Uber before. @juanctoribio brought up an incredible question: What do MLB players say when asked by an Uber driver what they do for a living?
So, we asked the Guardians. The answers did not disappoint.

“Welcome back to SportsCenter Presented by ESPN Bet, for more on the Ohtani situation we go to our FanDuel MLB Insider Jeff Passan at our DraftKings Studio in Los Angeles brought to you by Caesar’s Sportsbook. Jeff, how could something like this happen?”
The Palestinians rejected their own state on the following occasions:
1. The 1937 Peal commission proposal
2. The 1947 UN Partition plan
3. The 1967 aftermath of the Six Day War
4. The 2000 Camp David Summit.
5. The 2008 Peace Proposal with Ehud Olmert
Additionally, in 1993 they rejected the Oslo accord peace process by continuing terror attacks. Even Donald Trump negotiated a pretty compelling Palestinian state proposal with very interesting economic incentives in 2020.
The constant theme through all of this is a rejection of an autonomous state is the fever dream of Israel stopping existing and Palestinians taking it back.
The most fundamental tenet of peace is both sides have to desire it. Israel is willing to come to the table. Why won’t the Palestinians?
I used to have a lot of respect for Automattic. What a horrible experience and I regret ever thinking that was the better and easier approach. Will never use https://t.co/TATYdu2nkJ again and now will work to remove any contents and domains from their site.
@dwlz The roadblocks they put up to be successful there is insane. Just super disappointed in the company as I thought they used to be one that really worked for their customers.
@dwlz Transferred in an existing site with thousands of images. Too large to load. Added new ones after resizing but only option to fix old ones is to download all images resize, upload and reads to posts.
@Ccrystle That’s great! I’m the same with frameworks. Also one more thing to learn. I already have too many code variants in my head and try to keep my language usage on the light side.
@Ccrystle Writing a web service with no frameworks. Rails via API on the backend, JS with jQuery on the front end. It is so simple, like the good ol’ days.
