Congratulations to Samuel William (Billy Graham International Leader, Pakistan) on being awarded the H. Wilbert Norton Award at commencement! This award is given to the student who has demonstrated consistent good scholarship and commitment to global outreach.
What an incredible honor to pray with these students (and others here & online) every Thursday morning! Prayer is a foundational aspect of the ministry of the BGSP. Just here, we represent God's work in N. America, N. Africa, India, Bolivia, Rwanda, & Tanzania; God's family all.
Praise the Lord for the spiritual fruit borne over 50 years of the Billy Graham Scholarship Program through over 1200 scholars reaching 135 countries. We celebrated by planting trees on campus to be a lasting memorial.
Lots of manual work is going into our tree-planting ceremony celebrating 50 years of fruitfulness of the Billy Graham Scholarship Program. We're leaving five beautiful trees on campus. Thank you, landscape crew! Join us on Friday, April 17th at 4:30 PM.
The BGSP 50th Anniversary year is concluding! 50 years ago the idea of a scholarship program to help prepare international Christian leaders was planted. Help us celebrate the fruitfulness, attend our Tree Planting Ceremony (Free) April 17, 4:30 – 5:15 p.m.
Refreshments.
For our incoming international students, here is a helpful tutorial on applying for a student visa. It is older but has the basics. https://t.co/DO5pVC3vIu
Faithful follower of Jesus and servant of people, Laurie Huber (WCGS '97, BG Scholar) has passed away in western China in the "city she considered her 'hometown' and from the Land and the People whom she loved and served." We honor her life and work.
Jim Shoberg (WCGS'01, BG Scholar) visited campus recently, participating in Missions in Focus as a representative with Avant Ministries. What a delight to finally meet BG Scholars who were on campus before I was. They represent many years of faithful service with the Lord!
"I traveled to India to visit a friend from Wheaton. We had a fruitful ministry, preaching to 1000s of people; many gave their lives to Jesus. What a privilege!Who am I that He would entrust me with such a calling? To Him be all the glory!" Pascal(Rwanda)w/Jeeva(India)both WCGS '20
14 new int'l BG Scholars are beginning their WCGS adventure! Hearing their responses to being offered these generous awards would make anyone's day! "I have cried, wiped my tears, & found rest. My response to this good news, 'Praise God, from whom all blessings flow...'!"
We had a great group of people here last Sat. for TO THE NATIONS AMONG US. Together, we were motivated to care more about Gospel-sharing with neighbors, & equipped more to do so. We prayed that God would move & use us. Thank you BG Scholars who led us!

Kevin says,“I want to let you folks know how much I appreciated my time at the grad school; it was challenging & so helpful in my formation as a missionary! May the Lord use the BG Scholarship Prog. to develop many missionaries taking the gospel to unreached peoples of the world”
Just caught up with Kevin Stabler (WCGS ’94) who served for 32 years with YWAM, church planting & founding K-12 schools in the communities in the Amazon region of Bolivia. He & his wife now empower & support "global south" workers serving among unreached peoples around the globe
