With so many cycle thefts in Tower Hamlets, the need for secure storage is greater than ever. That makes it all the more inexplicable that Mayor Rahman completely cut budget for new cycle hangers last year. Thankfully, council officers have managed to get some funding for '24/25

This table for our Housing Scrutiny Committee tonight shows Mayor Lutfur Rahman is barely half way to his target of 1,000 'affordable' homes a year. There are economic factors at play, but the decline in no. of completions is also because he ditched new council housing schemes 🧐
