@mlbbowman The wining here is crazy. Bargain finds with Duban, Dom, Mateo more than make up for Kim. And it’s early. Plenty of time for Kim to earn PT.
@RosinskiBill And to send the same rejection letter to you they send to rejected peanut vendors is an insult. But also on-brand for the broadcast industry.
@RosinskiBill The Ravens are going to hire a 25yo right off the Syracuse campus. And he’ll do fine & make great highlights & have a social media presence.
But unless they hire Kevin Harlan or Pat Summerall’s corpse, they won’t hire someone who better meets the job’s “requirements”…
@mlbbowman@Ironspot Seems like they need a RHH OF until Acuna or White returns.
You think Yaz would play v LHP or get creative with Mateo or Farmer in OF? Or add a RHH OF à la Azocar and demote Jarvis?
@shanebacon Augusta cares about status, mystique, nostalgia. Smaller TV windows, restricted crowd sizes are not fan-first... Fewer commercials, cheap concessions are fan-friendly but are done more as a we're-rich-we-can-do-WTF-we-want-to rather than fan-first
@CoreyClayton@John_Fanta Yes but AQ coaches and ADs probably prefer it. The play-in 16 seeds have a legit chance to win and play a 2nd NCAA game. it’s more exposure, more revenue opportunities.
@ChoppinBravos Just never made sense keeping 3 catchers. Heim’s best offensive game couldn’t save him.
With a good bench and relievers who regularly don’t go multiple IP, there’s no crime in killing the DH late in game.
@PatrickThePi "strike zone was bigger"? Not on this video. Seaver throws two strikes called balls. Strike zone was more inconsistent umpire to umpire. Zone was probably wider back in the day, especially in NL in 80s, 90s. But hard to look at this video and say zone was bigger.
I'm genuinely curious how this would look in ABS. Looks terrible on live video. But was this just a shitty frame job on a pitch with a ton of downward movement?
Max Muncy has been a top-5 hitter in ball since he started wearing his prescription glasses in games...
Highest wRC+ since 4/30/25 (min. 200 PA):
