Lot of good reaction to my $REN thread earlier. One point from a DM I got: "they've put in a half-finished bridge to the other side of the river - where there's nothing, just dirt, no roads, no buildings! Then they looked at us and said 'it's not our job'. Beyond belief"

It was a terrible look, a democratic DAO-lite presented with a fait accompli choice and told to like it or lump it, the reasoning behind it even more bizarre. Volume has, no surprise, gone off a cliff, RenVM being the getaway vehicle of choice for hackers and few others recently.

$REN is discovering what happens when you over promise and under deliver, rats leaving a ship that they believe is sinking. I am a DN owner and believe in the project long term but it's been horribly mismanaged in the last 3-4 months.

Last point, the $REN team's response to rising volumes two months ago was to present a large fee rise in an undemocratic 'vote' (the option to leave fees alone was not an option), while dropping burn fees in order to, get this!, 'reduce TVL in case we're hacked'.
