Cheruvayal Raman dedicated his life to preserving Wayanad’s traditional paddy seeds, safeguarding a treasure trove of agricultural biodiversity that might otherwise have been lost. By conserving indigenous varieties and sharing seeds freely with farmers, he protected generations of knowledge and kept alive the possibility of a more diverse and resilient agriculture.
