i am going to vent.

one of our customers went to VFS Global today for a france visa appointment. first, she was coerced into buying a "premium lounge". then her travel insurance had a date mismatch and she was asked to leave, get a new appointment, and come back.

a new insurance policy could've been bought in 5 mins and printed at VFS for a mere 100 bucks. but they sent her back so she would book another appointment and then pay them service fee again.

but there are not many appointments available. even if there are, it is almost impossible to use their website to book (try booking one for yourself).

i understand as a business, you want to make money but at the expense of what? i am building atlys to help streamline visas but how do we streamline an experience when the underlying fulfilling entity doesn't want to...well fulfill.

the customer i am referencing to - her trip that she planned for close to a year with her friends is ruined all so VFS could earn ₹5500 again.

no one deserves this.
