My heart broke to see Americans fighting Americans in our streets yesterday. As I saw ICE agents tackling civilians and firing pepper balls into the crowd, I was overwhelmed by how broken we’ve become. We cannot normalize this violence. Here’s what happened at Delaney Hall: THREAD
I feel there’s a growing divide within the US government and among MAGA influencers. The masks have come off, and it’s becoming clear who aligns with Russia and who stands with Ukraine.
I might be too optimistic, but I truly hope President Trump will ultimately come down on Ukraine’s side and ramp up pressure on Russia. Maybe his recent meeting with Oleksandr Usyk was a way to prepare Americans for bigger steps in support of Ukraine.
Trump said his administration would release the Epstein files.
The New York Times: he 'had no interest in releasing anything.'
His team petitioned courts to unseal records knowing it would fail. The goal: blame the judges for the secrecy.
They met in the Situation Room.
When everything is taken from you, the only tool left for resistance is the biology we control, a final act of sovereignty and rebellion out of desperation that the only path left for life is to risk death. A moral indictment of the entire detention system.
ANALYSIS | Washington told Japan it wasn't needed. Takaichi is going to NATO anyway.
Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi will attend the NATO summit in Ankara from July 6 to 8, her first as prime minister. The official line is the one Tokyo has used for years: European and Indo-Pacific security are inseparable, and Japan wants NATO more engaged in Asia as a check on China.
Read on its own, that sounds like Japan pulling the alliance eastward from a position of confidence. The timing says something closer to the opposite. Back in March, Trump asked Tokyo to send naval vessels to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Japan declined, and Trump posted that the US no longer needs NATO's help and "never did," naming Japan, Australia and South Korea directly. Takaichi is walking into this summit months after the US publicly told her country its contribution wasn't wanted.
That reframes the trip. Japan imports about 95% of its oil from the Middle East, and the Iran war has been driving up energy costs and squeezing Takaichi at home. A government that just got brushed off by Washington, while paying the price for a war it has no part in, has good reasons to deepen its European lines, the UK fighter project and intelligence cooperation with France among them. This looks less like leading the alliance into Asia and more like hedging against an American umbrella that suddenly feels less certain.
None of this is new direction, either. Ishiba attended last year, Kishida before him. Japan has shown up at these summits every year since 2022. What is worth watching in Ankara is not the China-deterrence language, which mostly lives in communiqués, but whether Takaichi comes away with anything concrete from individual members, and whether arms-export talk moves now that Tokyo has loosened its own restrictions.
A reminder that the only deaths that have occurred during ICE enforcement activity includes innocent US citizens and immigrants — not ICE officers. ICE is putting other people’s lives on the line, not theirs. Get a grip, DHS
There is another possibility, too, that I hope is sheer paranoia: They are positioning themselves as a career move to remain relevant and in the power structure of the 21st-century "world state" that internationalists and oligarchs seem hellbent on creating now, and with the leaders of two former superpowers sometimes, as with Ukraine, seeming to work together and stirring up trouble for the free world.
I won't go into it again now, but I have mentioned in a few previous tweets my concern that the worst here in America might be yet to come this year and next year.
I hope I'm wrong and that this all is just paranoia. Time will tell.
But I am convinced that we should have impeached Trump, and maybe Vance, too, while there was still time.
Now, it's late, perhaps too late to do it in a justifiable way, that is, in a way that really does satisfy justice.
Candace Owens, the Tate brothers, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tulsi Gabbard, all Russian shills actively promoting tired conspiracy theories to smear Ukraine and support Russia.
Why together, why now?
Because Russia is desperate, and they are losing their war.
'I was 14 years old when I was abused by Jeffrey Epstein in Palm Beach. I stayed silent because I was afraid.'
Jenna Lisa Jones at a House Oversight hearing in Palm Beach in May.
She is still waiting for answers about the secret nonprosecution agreement.

This World Cup, wear the name of someone who should have been here.
Download the T-shirt designs from the Iran Rising website, print them, and honor Iranians killed, imprisoned, executed, or persecuted by the Islamic Republic in or outside the stadiums.
Wear their names.
Carry their stories.

I want to see the evidence behind those claims of violence and assault.
By the way, this "I feel threatened" excuse for law enforcement aggression became formalized during the Clinton administration.
Somehow, for more than 200 years American law enforcement managed to do their job effectively without sounding like weenies while acting like thugs.
Both wings of the Turkey Party find it convenient, though.
Oh so NOW they are opposed to mask bans and insist on wearing masks. I thought you couldn’t breathe and they looked stupid and were a part of a woke left conspiracy? So interesting how the story changes.
In the early 2000s, a 16-year-old was sent to give Leon Black a massage at Epstein's Manhattan townhouse.
FBI files document what followed: violent rape. She reported it to the U.S. Attorney in 2021.
Black founded Apollo Global Management. No charges.

They got their money, and now they are ramping up the thuggery again.
DHS was a good *idea* after 9/11, but in practice it has come to this. It *does* need to be demolished. This also will prevent factions from holding many decent agencies hostage to funding because of one rogue agency.
As DHS continues to strip unaccompanied minors of their safety and immigrants of legal protections, they are deploying ICE agents to raid and intimidate legal service providers and organizations.
As fascists do, the Trump administration is weaponizing the government to supress dissent and scare us into surrending our rights. But they won't succeed.
No matter who is at the helm, DHS is a weapon. It can't be reformed. We must abolish ICE and dismantle DHS.
"Jeffrey Epstein was under house arrest for the molestation of underage girls at the exact time he was abusing me."
Courtney Wild. House Oversight hearing. May 2026. West Palm Beach.
She spent years asking the government why he got the deal. She is still waiting.
The IFRC is appalled by the killing of Sudanese Red Crescent volunteer Ahmed Yaqoub Othman, who lost his life while providing first aid to injured people in North Kordofan, Sudan. We mourn his loss and extend our deepest condolences to his family, colleagues, and community.
Humanitarian workers and volunteers must be protected as they serve those in need.
Our statement. 👇
The Trump administration tried to say the Presidential Records Act was unconstitutional, so we sued, and a federal judge ordered them to follow the law.
That's a huge win! We’ll keep fighting to ensure this admin can’t operate in secrecy.

In a world rocked by conflict, it's easy to feel overwhelmed & powerless.
But all around us are everyday architects of peace – from volunteers to campaigners & civil society leaders – showing us how to take action to reshape our communities for the better.
As we begin the 100-day countdown to #PeaceDay, let's honour these changemakers & take inspiration from their example.

Don't ever believe anything "they" tell you. Find out for yourself, then choose what *you* stand for and stand on it. America needs you. ❤️🇺🇲
“They told us voting is a privilege, not a right.”
That’s what I heard from students at North Carolina A&T who are fighting to protect access to the ballot.
These young leaders are organizing, speaking out, and refusing to let anyone take their power, and I am so proud of them.
