We’re proud to announce the plans for a brand-new multi-sport athletic facility coming soon to Somerset Independent Schools!

This state-of-the-art complex will house multiple sports and include dedicated sports training areas and an indoor turf football field. The new space will support our student-athletes and give them the resources needed to continue growing and improving their abilities for decades to come.

A huge thank you to our Somerset Independent School Board of Education and school officials for their vision, support and commitment to investing in our students and community.

Stay tuned for updates and announcements as we break ground and begin bringing this exciting project to life. The future is bright for Somerset athletics! 🙌

Photos from a Briar Jumper football practice in 1972! The 1972 squad, under second year Head Coach Ron Cain, went 9-1 and became the first Somerset team to reach 9 wins in a season. Led by players like David Crozier, Joey Roberts, Joe Neikirk, Jim McCarty and Mitch Gaines, they outscored their opponents 404-75 and boasted one of the best defenses in the state.
