@ishaantharoor Comes form a person who has no first-hand knowledge of BAPS. NJ labor issue is an unproven allegation which was closed by DOJ without charges. So that's fake news.
You specifically have an direct affiliation with Far-Left - Your Dad works in alliance with them.
Recent media reports and political commentary in France have led to claims that BAPS “disrespects women.” But that is a much broader accusation than one incident can establish. If there are genuine concerns about how BAPS treats women, they should be examined objectively.
Any credible independent organization can look at the freedom, participation and empowerment of women within BAPS, including female engineers, data analysts, pharmacists, managers and other professionals who have spent years contributing to BAPS mandirs around the world.
BAPS sadhus (Swamis) follow a strict form of brahmacharya, or celibacy, which limits certain interactions with women. People may find this practice outdated or difficult to understand, but the restriction is on the monk, not on women or ordinary BAPS members.
That is also where I think the Eiffel Tower situation went wrong. BAPS asked for limited interaction with women, and SETE (Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel), the company that operates the Eiffel Tower and manages its staff, agreed to accommodate the request. Female employees were then reportedly moved or replaced by male colleagues. SETE later acknowledged that these conditions should not have been accepted.
BAPS made the request, but SETE decided how to implement it with its employees. Both points matter.
At the same time, if a religious vow requires a monk to avoid interaction with women, the responsibility for maintaining that vow should primarily fall on the monk. Women simply doing their jobs should not have to change their normal working arrangements because of someone else’s religious practice.
We can criticize what happened without turning it into a claim that BAPS “dislikes women” or pointing it negatively at the Hindu religion. The monks have the right to practice their religion, and Women have the right to equal treatment at work.

BAPS approached the Eiffel Tower authorities well in advance, requesting an exclusive time slot during the very early hours of public access and clearly communicating its requirements beforehand. The authorities were entirely free to accept or decline the request. They chose to accommodate it and made the necessary arrangements.
How they decided to facilitate that request was ultimately an operational matter for the Eiffel Tower authorities. I don’t think BAPS should be dragged into a controversy over arrangements that it had formally requested in advance and that the competent authorities voluntarily agreed to provide.
I have also had the good fortune of interacting with BAPS sannyasis on several occasions. Many of them are exceptionally bright and accomplished individuals who could quite easily have become leaders in their respective professional fields had they chosen to remain in the material world. Instead, responding to an inner calling, they consciously chose a life dedicated to spirituality, discipline and service.
Spiritual and religious organisations across faiths have their own traditions, protocols and ways of doing things. At times, these may differ considerably from what is considered normal or customary in the wider world. That is neither unusual nor unprecedented.
Ridiculing these sanyasis simply for adhering to what they sincerely believe in,
particularly when their requirements were communicated through a proper advance request and accepted by the authorities, seems unfair.
Critics in Paris claim BAPS "disrespects women."
Really?
Would educated female data analysts, engineers, pharmacists & managers spend years building history if they were neglected or erased?

We respect the concerns raised and take them very seriously.
Due to the size of our delegation, the visit was arranged in conjunction with the Eiffel Tower team at the start of normal opening hours to avoid disrupting or inconveniencing others.
To the best of our knowledge, at no point was anyone prevented access to the Eiffel Tower.
Nevertheless, we sincerely apologise for any pain or inconvenience caused.
We believe in the universal values of mutual respect and service.
