I see in the future, people will protest against AI labs to stop hallucination. It might seem like a short elite gathering for now, but one day, half the Earth will protest for this. Daily life will depend so much on AI. Trusted no-hallucination AI will be a luxury.

They are not competing with UPI; they serve completely different markets.

India still needs something better for transactions above ₹1,00,000. The limit isn’t just one lakh—you cannot even make two ₹60,000 transactions in one day. UPI has made travelling without wallets and cards a habit, so carrying a wallet no longer makes sense. However, UPI often fails: the amount is deducted but does not reach the merchant due to poor internet or bank server issues, especially in malls. This creates an awkward moment where the customer must pay twice and request a refund if the merchant receives the amount. UPI errors are sometimes unclear. Apple Pay could be very useful here. I personally avoid UPI for amounts above ₹5,000 because of the failure risk—no one wants to track refunds or argue with a Paytm chatbot. I believe Apple Pay’s failure rate will match that of cards, which is lower than UPI. And for transactions below a thousand, there is UPI Lite with its well-established infrastructure. So both use cases are different.

Steve Jobs reflects in Reed’s way of talking. He is a result of good parenting, living in Zen mode, has a strong motive to work for cancer patients, and has had the guidance of great mentors from an early age.

The good thing about him is that he is working in a sustained manner. Given that he has contacts with an uncle like Larry Ellison, he could have easily raised in billions or spent like crazy, but he isn’t doing that. He doesn’t seem to be behind money. Happy to see him grow.

Guys complaining that the car is already E20-compliant need to understand his problem. He might not have gotten a non-E20-compliant vehicle from his family or friends either. The syndicate is so rich that they can’t even find a car that’s 4+ years old.

What a great run, Nikita. You gave the platform a premium social media experience. Your work was always publicly visible, and you didn't chase users—instead, you cleared the garbage. From bots to spammers to cringe content, the credit goes to you. This is the first interactive platform where I know no one yet it feels like a matching vibe. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to pass the torch and demote myself to my natural state: a poster. I'll be stepping back from leading product for 𝕏 and will continue on as an advisor.

Serving the X community has been the privilege of a lifetime. X is, and will remain, the most important communication technology in history. But running this app is a 24/7 job and it's now time for me to take a breather.

The app is seeing unprecedented growth in new users & engagement. We continue to break records every month. We've climbed 70 spots in the App Store since this time last year.

And in the last 400 days, we rebuilt almost every aspect of X: the Timeline, the Android app, onboarding, notifications, chat and more.

We also launched nearly 30 new products while protecting the integrity of the town square: becoming the first app to show Country-of-Origin on profiles and mounting defenses against AI bots. There's certainly much more work to be done, but our foundation is stronger than ever.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible team here. The next leaders will take X to even greater heights with @benjitaylor on design, @singhai on core product engineering and @dinkin_flickaa on mobile engineering -- among many other great people.
