After a Monday evening videoconference of the Presidents and Chancellors of the Southeastern Conference, the Conference is issuing the following statement:
Imagine @NDFootball in this playoff: Rose Bowl vs. IU, rematch of the first-ever playoff game. Cig gets a chance at the only team he has yet to beat while at IU. Then a chance at Catholics vs. Convicts Natty rematch of both teams’ home openers. At the place it all started.
@Big12Conference@BYUfootball@BYUCougars Cool. BYU and the Big 12 have such a victim mentality it’s crazy. They control their own destiny on Saturday, and when they lose to Texas Tech, they are going to complain like no other. If you can’t play with a championship level team, you shouldn’t be in the playoffs.
@Todd7777770 @cubbiefans@BrooksAustinBA Notre Dame always earns it, they have to play the games just like everybody else. They just get more freedom in schedule making and way more money. The argument to join a conference for them is nonexistent; the brand is too big to ignore. Everyone knows they are a top 12 team.
@Firstand16_Pod The idea is cool and all, but these conferences are not all created equal. The Midwest is by far the best in this, and the Rocky Mountain conference is terrible. Same with how it is today, the Big 12 and ACC suck. Remove the auto bid and just take the 12 best teams.
