According to intelligence reports, two local Muslims helped the terrorists.

The names of the two locals are Mohammad Adil and Mohammad Asif.

They assisted the terrorists in conducting a recce of the area. Around 5–6 terrorists were hiding in the forest.

The attackers came fully prepared — their bags were filled with ammunition and dry fruits.
