@SenSanders So disingenuous. Corporate taxes are spread over multiple years, and loss years offset taxable revenues. You should know this as a 35-year squatter in Congress.
@brooklynnygirl@RBReich There are no trillionaires. Most wealth is tied up in assets.
If every billionaire had all their wealth extorted by federal government, the funds would be exhausted by Halloween. Meanwhile, the companies they own, the jobs they fund, and the other taxes they pay would be gone.
@AlanHigh4@jackunheard Land is untouched, so no consideration needed for other infrastructure. Extra land for expansion, self-generated power plants, artificial lakes. Land is cheaper and lower taxes. Permitting is usually cheaper and less stringent. Noise complaints are minimal in rural areas.
@ewarren Learn to math. Taking 100% of billionaire assets funds federal government for max of 7 months.
2/3s of federal spending is on social spending.
Taking the assets causes company crashes, mass loss of revenue at lower government levels, and huge losses in future tax revenue.
@AlanHigh4@jackunheard Internet doesn't GAF about distance. Fiber is near instantaneous. Blighted land means millions in clean up or restoration costs. Being in a city means asinine permitting. City grids are less reliable for large energy demands of a DC.
I vet land for DCs, it makes perfect sense.
@PramilaJayapal Local government regulations and leftover Bidenflation caused rents to rise.
Government interference in health insurance via Aaca tripled premiums.
Politicians rig the economy on behalf of their donors.
Common denominator is government.
@RepJayapal Over half of federal spending and about 2/3s of states' spending goes to the very things you say there isn't money for.
You're either blatantly lying or grossly incompetent at being a legislator. Either way you don't belong in Congress.
@AlanHigh4@jackunheard 19th century factories in dilapidated cities don't have the resources to support a data center, and the structure is not suitable for proper insulation. Add the excess regulations and cost of a build in a city relative to an unincorporated greenfield makes cities unattractive.
@Handbags4Hunger@jackunheard The energy price spike is a thing of the past with new power generation tech and new regulations.
DCs don't produce any exterior noise that exceeds natural ambience.
Don't know what vibrations you're talking about, DCs are built to not vibrate.
@MaileOnX@UTEX1985a@krassenstein The White House followed protocol per War Powers Resolution of 1973. Schumer admitted that Rubio informed Congressional leadership hours prior to the initial barrage.
The White House did the right thing per current federal law.
@RJAlexander15@adgirlMM You do realize that in January 2020 Trump instituted travel bans with nations that had outbreaks, and Democrats sued him and had a judge overturn them under some guise of racism? Remember Pelosi and AOC doing photo ops in Chinatowns before lockdowns to signal virtue?
@gaughen Democrats will never amend the Constitution again.
They would need to double the amount of states that are blue to even start the Amendment process.
@ScanticAntiques@LeadingReport@grok Many of the mentions are from 2016 and 2017 emails when Epstein was giving info to an author writing an anti-Trump book or conspiring against Trump with politicians and power brokers.
@jemelehill@Jay_At_Allsups So Nick Shirley or any other man-on-the-street YouTuber can stroll into an abortion clinic, break into a room while an abortion is occurring, terrorize the patient and staff with a bullhorn, and be protected from prosecution simply by claiming journalism?
@mmpadellan Did any of them terrorize church goers while violating a federal law that was, ironically in this case, passed to protect black churches from the Klan interrupting services?
