DAY 4 UPDATE
I’m feeling ok, bit tired though.
Doctor said BP was low, I’ll increase water n salt intake. Sugar level is low at 66 but that’s because of no food for 3 days, as ketosis takes over body starts consuming fats etc. In prolonged fast it may consume muscles & organs resulting in death but I’m nowhere near that.
My weight has gone down by 2 Kgs… a loss of some 650 gm per day n that’s also normal.
My inconveniences are nothing compared to the 20+ students who gave their lives & the 5 youths who died in Ladakh last September.

My Demand: Make Long Term Capital Gain TAX on Equities NIL for individual investor.

I welcome the hike in STT (security transaction tax) on derivatives as it can curb reckless speculation. Nearly 90% of retail investors lose money in F&O, turning markets into gambling.

When STT was originally introduced, LTCG was zero. But now with both STT and LTCG in place, investors are disincentivised.

I urge the govt to abolish LTCG on equities for individuals, as done in Switzerland, Singapore, UAE & others. This will boost household wealth, reduce speculation, and shift savings from gold & real estate into equities.

My 80 year old wheel chair bound mother took a flight from Doh- Del IC2284 @airindia.

The ground staff is telling her to deboard the aircraft by these stairs as they do not have any facility to get her off the flight.
