NEW: Kentucky State Police release bodycam footage of former trooper who pleaded guilty to assault during pursuit
Kentucky State Police has released bodycam footage involving former trooper Hayden Kilbourne.
Kilbourne pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and third-degree terroristic threatening.
The incident occurred on July 28, 2023, in Carroll County during a multi-county pursuit of an armed suspect driving a stolen vehicle.
Kilbourne joined the chase after dispatch alerted him.
Following an internal review, he received a six-month suspension without pay and resigned from the agency on January 13, 2026.
KSP Commissioner Phillip Burnett Jr. called the video “unacceptable” and said Kilbourne “violated the sacred duty of policing.”
I don't pity Kirk's children They will grow to be racist like him. We must discourage a white supremacist destructive cycle from repeating itself Scatter the ashes so nothing can be reborn meaning removing his children's foundational ideology of white supremacy allows for renewal
White people believe Charlie Kirk was this generation’s Martin Luther King. There is ZERO similarity between Kirk and Dr. King. Whites calling these two deaths similar is a slap in the face of Dr. King and black people.
