While the SEC has authority to obtain info from market participants for rulemaking purposes, it must ensure that these inquiries don't infringe on the standards established in the Paperwork Reduction Act, which limits the burden the govt. imposes on private businesses & citizens.
My office has received numerous tips from crypto and blockchain firms that SEC Chair @GaryGensler’s information reporting “requests” to the crypto community are overburdensome, don’t feel particularly… voluntary… and are stifling innovation.
@RepTomEmmer @GaryGensler SEC working with Sam and FTX to create a monopoly is not surprising at all. They did the same thing with Ethereum Consensys by giving them a free pass
Interesting. @GaryGensler runs to the media while reports to my office allege he was helping SBF and FTX work on legal loopholes to obtain a regulatory monopoly. We're looking into this.

@attorneyjeremy1 If the XRP holders and general public have to represent themselves against the SEC....then who is the SEC acting on behalf of? This case should have been thrown out as soon as the 'public' declared SEC doesn't represent them.
