“Good Trouble” Forever: I was honored to preside over the unveiling of the @USPS Forever postage stamp, which commemorates the extraordinary life and legacy of my dear friend and civil rights icon, John R. Lewis. The Los Angeles community embraced the opportunity to honor and celebrate one of the greatest Civil Rights Leaders of our time.
He devoted his life to strengthening our democracy by championing the right of every individual to register and cast their vote. John’s profound impact on America’s journey toward equality and justice is immortalized for generations to come.
Btw, any restaurant workers that ever want to leak to us that Hollywood execs are eating there and would like to see rich people yelled at in public - DMs are open
“Powerful people cannot afford to educate the people that they oppress, because once you are truly educated, you will not ask for power. You will take it.” —John Henriek Clarke
I want to thank everyone for the support we’ve seen so far today.
Together, we’re building a diverse, people-powered movement that’ll take on our broken system and fight for real change.
Michigan, this is a new beginning.
We can all feel it: D.C just isn’t getting things done for people.
We need representatives who'll take on special interests, get money out of politics, and make our government work for all of us.
That’s why today, I’m announcing my campaign for U.S. Senate in Michigan! ✊🏾
