@SplatterSpree Companies also get worried about Legal since most of Blender's power comes from the community made plugins. So if you pay for, and use a plugin to produce a product for the company, questions get raised about credits and stuff. Legal teams are always no fun babies tho
@ItsYoshh I think this game has some really good elements to it. What turned me off was how it felt like the target audience were babies.
A little bit of grit, and better writing, this game would have done way better imo. The world, themes, and gameplay were all there.
@tunayo@VancouverComics Ty for the sick print.
And I wanted to congratulate you on such a great table setup and location! Right by the front door this year.
Hope it brings you great success this weekend.
@JLHGameArt @PrettyUglyArt Favorite realization for me was finding a job posting by my team, of my exact role. But for a US hire (I'm Canada based). The salary # was 3-4x more than mine. AND in USD. Which with the Canadian dollar atm would convert into a pretty penny.
@JLHGameArt @SupraGamesUG Now I'm a LD working my 7th month. Building our game world with Maya.
My background is:
Degree in Marketing
Diploma in General Business
Zero transferability in hard skills. All just work ethic and communication skills
Love gaming and do probably 25+ hrs a week.
@JLHGameArt @SupraGamesUG The workflows and proprietary programs used by the company. Plus I knew our project and its vision inside and out. Also as QA I'd spent a ton of hours playing the game.
Applied for the role, picked up Maya for the first time a learned how to use it in 2 months via YouTube
