George Lucas is fascinating cause I know multiple people who have seen him out in the wild like this and that doesn't seem to happen with any other famous person
@wendellsandico It's sad that financial profit is the only type of profit cared about anymore. Creating art for the sake of expression is culturally profitable. It's important to invest in culture even if that doesn't return a monetary reward.
@BombsAh0y It's sad and I lowkey think that subconsciously it's a small part of why fewer people are going. At least it's definitely affected my cinema going experience
The self-servicification of life has taken the whimsy out of everything. Buying a ticket from a real human being was part of the experience of going to the cinema, zoo etc. Not encountering a human when walking into a place removes all the novelty and prestige
