Colonialism is a mentality. An African kills another man because of a game involving British clubs. Does it remind one of the homeguards in Kenya's colonial history?

BREAKING: 🇫🇷🇳🇪 France in talks with Niger officials over troops withdrawal according to Le Monde
France has started talks with some Niger army officials over withdrawing some troops from Niger following a coup in July, Le Monde reported on Tuesday.
At this stage, neither the number of French soldiers involved nor the timing of their departure have been decided, Le Monde said, citing several unidentified French sources.
The talks are not being held with military leaders, but with regular army officials with whom France has long cooperated, the newspaper said.
Actually I was wondering how much could the Musevenis have 'stolen'-cause all of know for a fact that African leaders steal from the governments they run
The Museveni family has been benefiting from the resources of Ugandan taxpayers for the past 37 years and should be counted among the leaders who have exploited the national wealth of Uganda. It is disheartening to observe that after gaining independence from colonial rule, some African leaders have perpetuated a system reminiscent of colonialism's opulence.
Thomas Sankara took control of Burkina Faso in 1983. Despite having no natural resources and minimal agricultural land, by 1986, the country was self-sufficient and producing twice the amount of resources and food it needed. He was never going to be allowed to live.
@NjeriBt@Safaricom_Care We hate our own selves so much that we want everything going down for our own selfishness.

In sociology, society provides equal opportunities for all-read education, but puts roadblocks for all not accessing these opportunities-in this case high cost of education
Mathe was telling me the other day so many guys in uni are dropping out due to the current uni fees hikes I mean for some us passing KCSE was our only card out of the unknown now this kids don’t even have that…. I feel sad for them education shouldn’t cost an arm and leg it only only increases the rift between the rich and the poor
I grew up chanting to myself education is the key to success and their days I looked it my mums eyes and reassured her I was almost done and things would change…
I really wish the ministry would really look into this why not increase the helb financing then to allow our children to afford post highs cool education 🥺
Education is their only equalizer please don’t take it away from them 😢

On Monday, I woke up to the news that our 4th security guard in 2 months had been sacked. Like her predecessors, she was sacked after the same 2 wives in the compound reported that she was talking to their husbands. She wasn't. They were talking to her & nothing beyond courtesies
She was a quiet girl of meager circumstances, who trekked to work daily - a 16 km journey. And she did not just tend to the gate, she painstakingly attended to the kids in the compounds, which was a culmination of the fact that, despite her tender years, she had a daughter of her own.
And the injustice of it has kept me up many a night since, so here is a little dose of truth for such wives: YOUR MAN WILL CHEAT IF HE WANTS TO CHEAT! There is nothing you or anyone can do about that. Your jealousy, potent as it is, is futile!
The idea that a man must be painstakingly managed, or else they will stray is a baseless infantilization of men. A displacement of anger at best; and stupidity at worst. You cannot isolate a man from women enough to have him stay faithful if he wasn't one. He is not unfaithful because there are other women. He just is. If it wasn't that woman, it would be another. What does not want to be kept, will not be kept.
I feel the same every time I find men exchanging fists over a woman. Or withhold intimacy for fear that their women will stray. It is a lost battle. If it was not that man, it would be another one. If not the security guard, then the gym guy. And no one can stop her except herself. You can't sustiainably regiment commitment with fists, threats, or niceness.
Every man and woman I have met had the capacity to think and act for themselves. Assign responsibility for commitment where it is due, and act accordingly. Otherwise, you will fight the world with nothing to show for it except broken teeth and mangled toes.
With that said, if you are looking for a housemaid/manager, security guard, waitress, hairdresser, carterer, or even nanny, please reach out in the DM. I reached out to the girl and she is willing to do anything to sustain herself and daughter. She has some air hostess training, though not complete. She'd be a fit for the safari services as well.
God bless you!
Kenya is a crime scene. There is need for that police tape 'don't cross. police" round it. The only problem is which police?

Don,
Are there any economic success stories following a military coup from any country in the world since Creation?
Bear in mind Kenya's abortive coup of August 1, 1982 (in which Raila Odinga confessed to taking part in his memoirs), was followed by Moi's 24 years of political darkness...
While I don't agree with you on many issues this one you have my absolute 'yes' vote. Try Samsung A4. It costs around 20k but has very good feature & offers great service
