IDK if this is Autism, ADHD or just me, but I don’t sip drinks, I down them. A pint of water, a grande frappe, a cup of peppermint tea - it doesn’t matter. Sipping doesn’t hydrate or entertain me, and if I sipped I’d never drink enough; I forget about drinks when I put them down.
@TokenOfTheMonth@oldbaymami Your hair isn’t a toy to be played with, it’s a part of your body. Who tf thinks it’s ok to randomly touch peoples hair?? Especially black hair since it’s so fetishized by yt people.
Forced forgiveness is a toxic concept where people tell us to “just move on” or “you need to forgive.” Forced forgiveness implies that a person who’s experienced abuse, neglect, or pain should get over it and allow the person in their lives. When our boundaries are violated or people hurt us, feeling anger or needing to grieve is a natural response. Bypassing our emotions to please other people is a common response in society (especially when family is involved.) In reality, forgiveness is a personal journey. It’s not for anyone else to decide how we experience an event or a relationship we have with another adult.
It really hurts when people you thought had certain values and morals and who you thought cared about others turn out to be totally different. That’s one of the many things this pandemic has revealed and continues to reveal. 1/2
@indoor_wildling I’m in Colorado and I’m pretty sure you’re out of state from me, but if you’re not I can come help. If you are though then I wish I could :( I know maintenance in general is so fucking difficult
@jahoesaphat See this is the type of response I like! Everyone is shitting on op, but they’re just incompatible. One is probably a better communicator in person and the other needs more reassurance and communication than just in person.
@AnndisssLondon @Stoppable408 @loveandsnuggles@callmefaggg This person obviously wants more texts than they’re getting so it’s essentially the same topic. Don’t know why your panties are in a twist about specifics though. 🤷🏻♀️
@Stellar_Astro1 @AnndisssLondon @Stoppable408 @loveandsnuggles@callmefaggg No there’s not lol. I got time for myself, but not friends. I’m 110% selfish and if I don’t have energy to hold a conversation except here or there in small sections then so be it. All you guys are crazy for thinking this man wanting his own space is bad lol.
@kuttipiee @oftenaustin23 @RONIIDOITCH Didn’t say dragging him was ok did I? I’m saying posting a letter is weird. I would 110% not go on a second date of a building mate did some invasive shit like this. You guys obviously aren’t introverts because I actually care if someone invades my space like this.
@callmefaggg Why is everyone’s first thought ‘omg you’re a liar?!?!’ because our first instinct should be to believe you. Why should we assume that you’d be a vile person and lie?
then don’t be upset when someone feels overwhelmed because they can’t give you what you need. It was the right thing for op to decline a second date because he’s doing what’s best for them both since they have different communication styles. 2/2
This is not mean. This note is invasive and offensive imo because this person could’ve kept it private between the two instead of putting a letter DIRECTLY to the door. Also it’s okay to respond slow when working and if you’re the person who needs reassurance 1/2
Y’all…I went on ONE date with this dude in my building, we’ve exchanged a few texts with four days max in between…I come home from the gym and THIS is on my door…call 911
