#RussellSageCollege sophomore Darren Dengler (Hobart, N.Y.) was tabbed the 2026 Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament MVP.

The first baseman hit .500 (6-for-12) with five runs scored, three RBI, and two stolen bases across the four games.

Dengler hit .429 with four runs scored and seven RBI across five games. He slugged .762, went 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts, and reached base at a 50.0 percent rate.
