The children all enjoyed talking part in our Easter Egg Hunt along the community path. The children worked in pairs to spot the 10 hidden eggs. We have left the wonderful Easter bunting up, if your looking for something to do you could pop along to see. Can you spot all 10 eggs?
Preparing and tasting different foods. Our later learners were risk assessing and discussing how to keep themselves safe while chopping. They also tasted a variety of different foods and shared their likes and dislikes. “pomegranate is tasty” @ClacksELC#healthandwellbeing
“There’s a huge egg in the sandpit”
H “ wow what’s inside it?”. R “ I think it’s a dinosaur egg”
Finding this huge egg in our sandpit has lead to lots of questions and enquiries.

We read the story “On the moon” to our boys and girls, they all started asking questions about space and where the moon was in the sky. E” the moon comes out at night”. We looked at our Solar System and where our planet Earth is in the sky. @ClacksELC
Since listening to The Hungry Caterpillar story we have spotted minibeasts outdoors. The use of magnifying glasses has been an exciting experience to observe closely how they travel and their features. Wonder what journey our curiosity of minibeasts will take us on....🐛🐞🕷️#STEM

M wanted to construct a rocket with junk modelling. She drew a design of what she wanted her rocket ship to look like then selected the materials she needed to create her design and bring it to life! Wonder where M's rocket ship will travel to first?
We added teabags to the water tray following children's interest in making tea with the teapot in the water. Lots of discussions with friends about the smell and what it was, S "it smells like toothpaste", L "smells like cake", A "it smells like flower".
The children have been learning more Makaton signs today, we have been practising the signs for different farm animals. Children then asked to learn how to sign horse, rooster, turkey and chicken. Next week we are going to practise signs for Easter #Makaton
Loose parts.. when children interact with loose parts, they enter into a world of ‘what if’ that promotes the type of thinking that leads to problem solving and theoretical reasoning @MenstrieELC
Equality vs. Equity. The difference between equality and equity must be emphasised. Although both promote fairness, equality achieves this through treating everyone the same regardless of need, equity achieves this through treating people differently dependent on individual need.

Learners in Ben Cleuch have shown a keen interest in the tiger who came to tea. This has led to lots of questions. “Where do tigers live?” “ What do tigers eat and drink ?” O’s theory is “ tigers drink milk from coconuts .” We can’t wait to start our research. @ClacksELC
