It's important to be careful when you talk about suicide.
Instead of saying someone “committed suicide,” say they “died by suicide.”
It might not seem like a big deal to you, but changing your language can help decrease the stigma surrounding mental health.
Some reminders you deserve to hear:
• You are loved
• You are strong
• You are worth it
• You are wanted
• You are beautiful
• You are not a failure
• You are good enough
• You deserve happiness
• You are not a waste of space
