Today is a somber day.
A dignified speech for a deeply honourable man whom has changed my country for the better.
We were elected to deliver a manifesto in 2024 and I’ll be working day and night to deliver for my community and country 🇬🇧
Well that marked the end of our brief two years as a serious country again. Well done everyone.
Back to vibes, shits and giggles it is.
Britain is done.
I am ashamed.
Sorry @skynews but this isnt good enough.
It's not personal, she seems a nice person, but @weatherdolly is not a trained scientist or meteorolgist.
There is no excuse for not telling the public:
- The planet is heating up and scientists tell us we'll see exactly these kind of extremes because of climate change.
- 2024 is the hottest year globally on record
- 2025 is the hottest UK summer on record
- Europe is seeing record breaking heat
- Scientists tell us that climate change is a risk to all of us, to wildlife and to agriculture,
Why is the British media allergic to having scientists explain climate change to their viewers?
Labour source texts: ‘Andy Burnham would rather bring down the government than have the courage to launch a challenge. Tells you everything you need to know about that man. Snivelling little rat. Always has been. It’s why he’s lost two leadership elections’
From PoV of 🇬🇧🇪🇺 relations, Burnham seems yet another in a long string of weathervane PMs
After ex-Remainer turned fervent Brexiteer Tories, Starmer and his "red lines" - up pops Andy "Britain was better off in the EU but let's not do anything about it" Burnham👇
True he's a tad more smiley than Starmer (not a great ask🤡) but what most UK media often forgets is that in the world we live in, most leaders in most countries become pretty unpopular pretty quickly, so how long before the momentum builds up for yet another change of wind ?
and when will the UK finally have a PM with the guts to believe in, and actually stick to their heart-felt ideas about Britain's future in Europe, which a clear majority of people now support ?
The replies to this tweet include Holocaust deniers claiming that concentration camps were merely Jews being "required to do manual labour". Antisemitism is very real, which makes false allegations of antisemitism against those who oppose Israel's genocidal violence even worse.
My latest Substack is out now - where's the wealth going? A large part to tax havens and eventually the US, while workers pay and the country is left poorer - reading Angus Hanton @inter_gen

The Last Stable Glaciers on Earth Are Starting to Collapse
In a single year, glaciers shed billions of tons of ice, driven by persistent heat, early melt seasons, and shrinking snowfall.

Let’s check in to see what the climate change deniers have to say.
Oh, it’s just summer they’ll say. It isn’t.
A normal heatwave they’ll claim. It isn’t.
We’re destroying our planet and ignoring the consequences. Utterly unreal. 🤬
The public are so clueless about climate change, it’s hard to actually comprehend how in the dark they are about what is happening to us.
Prof Will Steffen, Australian National
university:
I can predict the future: there'll be a phase in the MSM-Westminster merry-go-round when Starmer will sit in TV studios being treated as a wise and humane sage, and the MSM will in effect be asking us to forget that they told us he was a weak, vascillating incompetent.
The fact that climate change & how to fix it is not the number one story every single day is proof of something deep & scarily wrong with our society.
Every year it well get hotter and hotter as more and more heat is trapped on Earth and not escaping into space as it should
Do not be surprised if its 50 C (122 F) in a few years
Co2 at their highest in millions of years and due to climate time lag the heat is just beginning
For anyone wondering, this isn’t normal.
The record for June set in 1976 will be smashed by several degrees.
May end up setting a new all time temperature record, beating the 40.3°C recorded in July 2022.
We were worried that our daughter is going to be in Seville in southern Spain during the heatwave this coming week.
It's going to be extremely hot there.
But it's going to be *hotter* in the UK!
And the UK is much less prepared for extreme heat.
