We are thrilled to share that scientists, students, and staff from BRIC-Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar successfully represented the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India at the prestigious 17th Krishi Fair 2026; held at Golden Sea Beach, Puri, Odisha, June 1–5, 2026
It was an incredible 5-day journey where our team engaged with farmers, students, policymakers, and the general public — showcasing the groundbreaking research and biotechnology innovations being carried out at BRIC-ILS. The event provided a wonderful platform to bridge the gap between science and society, bringing DBT's vision of biotech-driven solutions in agriculture and health directly to the people.
Our team interacted with enthusiastic visitors, demonstrated cutting-edge work, and highlighted how biotechnology can transform lives — from the laboratory bench to the farmer's field.
Proud to have taken science to the people of Odisha!
A heartfelt thank you to the organizers and everyone who visited our stall. 🙏

On World Environment Day, BRIC-ILS pauses to reflect, recommit, and act.
We renew our promise to protect Earth — our home, our inspiration, and the very foundation of life sciences. Guided by the values of our Swachhata Pledge, we remain unwavering in our commitment to maintaining a clean, healthy, and green environment — not just within our campus, but in every community we touch.
A clean campus is a healthier campus. It is an environment where researchers think clearly, students thrive, and innovation flourishes. When we remove waste, plant trees, and maintain green spaces, we are not just beautifying our surroundings — we are investing in the quality of science we produce and the well-being of every individual who walks through our doors.
Together, as a community united in purpose, we can restore ecosystems, combat climate change, and leave behind a greener, healthier world for generations to come.
At ILS, we don't just study life — we protect it.
