@davearterburn @whsource This is likely due to your goal (fat loss or body recomp?), as well as the activity level the calculator estimates you to be at. This is also why we provide the capability to enter your own preferred macro ratios, so you can override the estimations with your own preferences.

Brian St. Pierre recently sent me this cool nutrition calculator he developed for Precision Nutrition. It's based in part on the NIH's dynamic body weight model and it offers nutrition guidance in an easy-to-use format. And it's free. @BSPNutrition

@davearterburn @whsource If you check out the notes under the Resources section @davearterburn, you'll see how the macronutrient rules work. Protein is actually set on bodyweight basis, rather than a percent basis (hence the ~!). Hope that helps!
