#BSTLNotts we have been recently engaged on extended stability studies designed to generate extended stability data for a range of antineoplastic drugs compliant with the latest NHS YCD guidelines for assessment of stability small molecules - 5th ed.
#QATS recently highlighted the paucity of NHS yellow cover document compliant extended stability data for a range of oncolytic drugs. This presents a challenge for NHS production units where extended shelf-life of these important aseptic products is needed.
Does this open up the possibility to revisit some of the less stable b-lactam antibiotics in elastomeric containers where data on related substances/ degradants exists demonstrating lack of toxicity where T90 data is achievable at end of extended shelf-life?
Assessment of ceftolozane/tazobactam degradation profile and toxicity data in elastomeric devices for continuous infusion via outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) https://t.co/bCPr2fxorw

Previously interpretation of the NHS YCD on deriving and assessment of stability small molecules has meant achieving the 95-105% limits for actives at end of shelf-life or BP stated acceptance limits where a monograph exists.

#QATS24 Masterclass on drug stability and the new stability assessment tool available @NHS_SPS . It was great to attend the launch and masterclass #QATS24. This is available to NHS. #BSTLNotts are experts in drug stability and can support extension of shelf-life.
Poster presentation @QATS24 on integrity testing of ChemoLock and ChemoClave CSTD components in combination with IV bags and syringe containers performed to NHS YCD standards.
Thank you to everyone who visited our poster on integrity testing of ChemoLock and ChemoClave to YCD and the organising committee @QATS24. Once again a fantastic event. See you all again in 2025
Looking forward to speaking about our work @EAHP 2024 which will be the first time data has been presented on CSTD containment #Chemfort testing at maximum activation number according to manufacturer's IFU and at end of shelf-life. The Future #NIOSH#CSTD
BSTL is pleased to announce that we will be presenting our work on testing containment performance of #CHEMFORT™ to #NIOSH protocol at 10th activation & end of shelf at #EAHP 2024 - Poster 3PC-007 do drop by and say hello at the poster session.
Would be good to see the supporting data in the public domain to allow other elastomeric pump manufacturer's to generate their own stability data for ceftolozane/ tazobactam as a 24-hour infusion. OPAT patients now have access to this important medication. #drugstability
First presentation since pre-covid times. Great to get the opportunity to present our research and science on performance testing of #cstds done in collaboration with Ian Pengelly at #HSE of the UK.
Thank you to all the co-presenters at the #Simplivia symposium. Great talks. Thank you Elana for your excellent presentation on containment of #Chemfort#cstd from both perspectives.
Last item on the #eahp2023 agenda for the day - the Poster Walk. #HospitalPharmists from all over Europe presenting their work to each other. #HPcare4u
Are you attending the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP) Congress in Lisbon, on March 22nd-24th?
