Visited and inspected the on-going redevelopment works at the Begumpet Railway Station in Secunderabad today. With a budget of ₹38 crores (₹28 crore in phase I and ₹12 crore in phase II) the Begumpet Station is being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

Happy to share that the redevelopment works are nearing completion (90%). The station has been modernized with renovated station entrance, lifts, escalators, foot-over-bridges, waiting halls and other state-of-the-art amenities for the convenience of the passengers.

Women will don all key roles at the station, including that of station master, RPF personnel & security personnel, ticket collectors, ticketing staff as well as ground staff, in one of the busiest stations in Hyderabad.
