What is the core?
There are 29 core muscles in total. They are most easily defined as 5 groups of muscles:
• The abdominals
• The obliques
• The lower back
• The glutes
• The hip flexors

The "Getting our Girls to Gold" leadership & development program identifies young female athletic talent, develop & nurture the athletes athletic ability as well as their careers. The program also aims to raise their profiles & provide skills training.
