About last night... 🇿🇦💚💛

A special evening celebrating the women behind the green and gold.

We had the privilege of attending the @WomenBoks capping ceremony ahead of Saturday's Test, sharing in a moment that means so much to every player who has earned the opportunity to represent their country.

These are the moments that remind us just how special South African rugby is.

Congratulations to all the players, and good luck for Saturday. We're right behind you! 👏

What you do after training matters too. 💪

Once the session is done, getting quality protein into your day can help support muscle recovery and repair.

Biogen Complete Whey delivers 25g of protein per serving from a blend of whey, casein and plant-based protein sources, giving you a combination of faster and slower digesting proteins.

An easy post-workout option to help you top up your daily protein intake and support muscle recovery after putting in the work.

Different backgrounds, different stories, different ways of moving through life.

That’s part of what makes South Africa what it is. 🇿🇦

Happy Heritage Day, South Africa.

Hi Joy. Thanks so much for reaching out with your query. There are quite a few different forms of minerals that can be used in supplements, and which one we use really depends on the formulation, dose, solubility, stability and what the product is designed to do.

While magnesium glycinate is indeed considered a well-absorbed form of magnesium, magnesium citrate is also a well-established and bioavailable form. It has good solubility and is commonly used in nutritional supplements, particularly where an effective source of magnesium is required without unnecessarily increasing the size or number of tablets or capsules.

Similarly, potassium citrate is not used exclusively for the prevention of kidney stones. While potassium citrate does have recognised medical applications in this area at appropriate therapeutic doses, it is also simply a source of the essential mineral potassium. Citrate salts generally offer good solubility and are widely used as mineral sources in nutritional formulations.

Furthermore, both magnesium citrate and potassium citrate are recognised as approved sources of their respective minerals under the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA’s) guidelines for health supplements.

Biogen makes use of different mineral forms across its product range where appropriate, based on the intended purpose and formulation of each individual product. Different mineral forms have different characteristics, and the most appropriate choice depends on the objectives and practical requirements of the particular formulation.

We hope this helps to clarify the reasoning behind the use of magnesium citrate and potassium citrate in certain Biogen products.

Ever wondered what’s waiting inside the Springbok change room on game day? 👀🇿🇦

Here’s a little look behind the scenes.

Long before kick-off, the preparation is already underway. The Springboks follow a food-first approach to nutrition, with supplementation used strategically across performance, hydration and recovery.

On game day, that means making sure the right options are ready, exactly where the players need them.

The 80 minutes are what South Africa gets to see. This is part of what goes into them. 💚💛

Today, we #BackHer. 🇿🇦💚💛

For the first time in history, @WomenBoks and Black Ferns will meet on South African soil. A rematch of THAT World Cup quarter-final, and another opportunity for this Bok Women side to show just how far they’ve come.

We’re proudly behind them and wishing the team everything of the best as they pull on the green and gold today.

If you’re heading to FNB for the double header, get there early. Get to your seat. Bring the noise. Let’s give the Bok Women the home crowd this occasion deserves. 🇿🇦

After all these years, he still loves the game. 🇿🇦

At the highest level, there will always be pressure to chase the next milestone. Another game. Another achievement. Another number.

Longevity isn’t only about how long you can keep going. It’s about still finding a reason to want to.

For Damian de Allende, that reason is simple. He still loves playing rugby.

The work gets harder. Some days are tougher than others. But the passion is still there. And maybe that’s part of what keeps you going.

Hydration isn’t just a training conversation. 💧

Hot days, long commutes, travel, busy schedules and exercise can all increase the need to pay attention to what you’re putting back into your body.

Biogen REVITALYTE goes beyond simply adding flavour to your water. Each sachet contains key electrolytes including sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium, together with Vitamins C, B6 and B12 to support hydration, electrolyte balance and normal energy metabolism.

Easy to keep in your gym bag, handbag or desk drawer for the days that ask a little more of you.

Because drinking water matters. So does replenishing what your body loses.

Different sports demand different things from their athletes. What shouldn’t change is the standard behind them. 👊

For over 20 years, Biogen has worked across South African sport, supporting professional teams, athletes and some of the country’s biggest sporting events.

With that comes a responsibility. For professional and competing athletes, we recommend products that have been tested for banned substances through recognised programmes such as Informed Sport, Informed Choice and Informed Protein. @wetestyoutrust

It’s a commitment that has shaped how we approach our products, how they’re tested and the trust athletes place in us.

From one sporting code to the next, the standard remains. UN-RIVALLED.
