I’ll share a trade I did last week, if interested or interesting for you.
I have 500 shares of MSTR (1,800%) accrued gain, real big tax bill if they were sold! Last Wednesday I sold 5 covered calls (420 strike) Nov 29 expiration against my shares for $5.60. I think MSTR was around ~$380.
Result: received ~$2,800 for three days (Thanksgiving day they didn’t trade and Friday was a half day of trading, expired worthless
Friday).
It was probably not “worth it” (it worked out) but looking back on it, I was terrified MSTR would gap up and I would have to sell my stock or at a minimum roll out the calls.
Although, getting $1,000/day is pretty cool.
