I'm starting to investigate the role of the Director of Rugby and the responsibilities that are required in the job and how to manage and lead a team effectively.
I have put together this questionnaire to try and gain a better understanding. 1/2

9. Mark Edmondson, Australian Open 1976
Edmondson was a late call up to the tournament due to player drop outs. He won the final 6-7, 6-3, 7-6, 6-1.
He was ranked 212th in the world and remains the lowest ranked player in history to win a Grand Slam.

8. Leicester City, 2015/16
Leicester City started the 15/16 Premier League season with a 5000/1 chance of winning the league title.
In May, they won the league, beating Arsenal to the title. It is often described as the greatest sporting stories of all time.

7. Oakland Athletics, MLB 2002 Season
The Oakland Athletics had a player budget of $41 million, the third lowest payroll in the MLB.
They ended up making the playoffs and went the distance against the New York Yankees who had a player budget of $125 million.
I’m looking for a coach to join a charity 7’s team.
Must ideally have a good understanding of the game of 7’s and how to coach it. We play at an open level and are based in the South East of England.
If this is of interest, drop me a DM!

6. Anna Kiensehorf, Tokyo Olympics 2020.
In road cycling, leading from the front and winning has the odds of 1000/1.
Kiensehorf did just that, beating the favourite Annemiek van Vleuten to the gold medal. Austria’s first cycling medal since 1896.
To my extended coaching family 👪, **what is DPP all about**? What should we be using the DPP platform for?
Reflecting on DPP and it's place in the pathway and the community..🤔 would love any thoughts, including ones that challenge my biases 🤹♂️
Great evening last night with @rdhudson00 asking some fantastic questions to facilitate discussion. The Wakelet will be uploaded shortly.
The theme and title for the month of June will be released at the end of the month.
Looking forward to a summer of reading!

Question 4
What are your reflections on this quote from @JonnyWilkinson
“I went from thinking I could be an important person by winning things to realising that winning doesn’t make you important.
I realised that it’s better to be no one. Because that is freedom.

Really keen to hear your perspectives on these topics (& happy to have a go at answering any questions)
Thanks for having me 🙂

I* have been given the #BTLBC login for tonight to put 6 questions to coaches over the next hour or so
They were all questions I pondered while writing my second book, ‘Perform Beyond Pressure’ last summer
