The script for FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER (1984) simply called for Crispin Glover’s character Jimmy to dance at the party—there was no elaborate choreography or intention to create an iconic scene.

Glover instead based the moves on the unusual way he danced in clubs in the early 1980s. He timed the dance to “Back in Black” by AC/DC, but producers couldn’t license it, so they replaced it with “Love Is a Lie” by Lion. The resulting mismatch makes Jimmy’s jerky movements seem even stranger than they originally did.
